We're moving fast - will that cause problems?

Only a few (currently, TSC and CSC, plus VSC as a backup) centers handle I-129F petitions. The location of the petitioner determines which center will be handling the request. See attached map of the U.S. .. find the state the petitioner is in, and you'll have your answer.

(note: no, I did not create the map myself.. found it somewhere, and can't even remember where to give proper credits!)

Fortunately for you guys that you will go through the Texas Service Center allowing more time for you guys to get to know each other.

But at the moment your short relationship will be a HUGE red flag. My advice is to give it another year to make sure.

It isn't a HUGE red flag. That's not a helpful post.

And TSC is slow, at the moment. By the time they file, who knows, maybe CSC will be. It goes back and forth, always has, always will.

If you (the USC) are indeed in Ohio, you'll be handled by CSC.

The odd thing about the whole TSC/VSC thing, is that last year at this time it was the EXACT OPPOSITE. VSC had been doing a pretty good job through the winter and they were the other center besides CSC. CSC came to a near stop while VSC was chugging along. FInally in the spring of 2013, CSC prioritized I-129F and they started speeding up...at nearly the same time VSC seemed to just stop. Suddenly people started getting transfer notices saying they were being sent to TSC. Then TSC became the regular stop for East side of the country petitions. Now it looks as if they are perhaps starting to send people back to VSC.

What makes no sense to me is if they are both having so much trouble keeping up, why not split the load...Southeast petitions to TSC and Northeast petitions to VSC. They both have trained personnel and it would be a much smoother process. But then again, since when did the government do things that made sense?

FWIW, we moved fast–not quite as fast as you, but close–and they did question him about it. Just be prepared to answer honestly about why you're moving so quickly, and have lots of evidence.

We filed two months after meeting in person and we are set for the greencard Interview this month, about ten months since we met for the first time . We have had no issues so far.

I met my fiance first time on april 2013, on june 6, 2013 he sent the I-129f.

We met second time on september 2013, on october 23 we were approved.

So I dont think you are moving fast.

We only met in October and filed in November.. and it seems that our visa is approved but we are still waiting to get out of AP.. Supposedly only because of a stupid paper though
