Yellow Letter....

Just got the infamous yellow letter with "This is not an interview notice" in big letters along the top. It was to remind me to bring my Passports and State issued photo ID to my interview....

Are they trying to keep the USPS in business or something :P

Just seems like a waste of time to me - couldn't they just send the darn interview letter? Yes, I'm getting impatient - what an American trait that is too...

What's the "normal" wait for an interview date after the yellow letter... (Dallas field office)???

Citizenship Timeline (Dallas office):

N-400 sent: 03/26

NOA back: 04/01

Bio Appointment: 04/21

Inline for I'view: 04/23

Interview scheduled: 07/08

Interview: 08/12

Oath Ceremony: 08/12

Filed: Timeline

It actually depends when you will get scheduled but getting yellow letter is good sign. Since you got inline pretty quick after FP I would say you are close to getting scheduled. It took me exactly two weeks to get scheduled after getting inline but then I had to wait 5 weeks after FP to get inline.

Here is my timeline for Dallas office:

3/4 application sent

3/5 priority date

3/12 I797

3/26 FP

5/2 inline

5/16 interview scheduled

6/21 interview and oath letter received

6/24 oath

Thanks for the info. I'll just have to wait and see - not that I have any choice!

Congrats of the success you had... :dancing:
