Hi all,

My wife is a US citizen. The time has come for renewing my green card (removal of conditions). I would appreciate if some of the more experienced members could go through my list of evidence and provide comments/suggestions.

1. Ultrasound pictures - These do not have my name on them, only my wife's name is there. That is just how this clinic operates. She is the patient, not me. But considering that my wife got pregnant after we got married, and I am her husband, I expect USCIS to put two and two together and infer that this is our unborn baby.
2. Statement Of closing and warranty deed for our new house (recently purchased, haven't even finished moving yet).
3. Lease agreement for our rental for last two years of marriage.
4. Monthly statements of our joint checking account for the last two years of marriage (these are a lot of pages, should I highlight our names?)
5. My 401k document showing my wife as beneficiary.
6. My wife's health insurance policy showing me as beneficiary.
7. Auto insurance policy showing my wife as additional insured.
8. Photos from our baby showers.
9. Other photos (one taken by a friend at Trader Joes, a selfie at Atlanta Jazz Festival, a photo with her mom at a friend's wedding, a photo of my wife and her mom with my sister).
I feel my weak area is lack of travel, vacations and photos. We just didn't do much in these two years. Been super busy with work and other stuff. Also, we have many mutual friends, but I just hate the idea of affidavits. It feels really weird asking them to sign a letter stating that we are happily married etc. etc.
I am Hoping that other evidence like pregnancy and home purchase would be given more weight and carry the application through.
My green card expires mid-August. I am planning to submit my application next week by latest. In GA, driver's licenses can not be renewed beyond the date of legal immigration status. So I really hope I get my receipt and extension before that.
Thanks for your help!

You have good primary/strong evidence. Don't worry about the weak/secondary ones like travel, vacations, photos, ultrasounds, affidavits, etc.. Good luck! :)

I think you have quite 'solid' evidence here. Personally do not see why you should include all the monthly bank statements. A sample of few statements over the past two years should show comingling of cash. You may include some utility bills showing both your names, copy of loan doc showing both names.

I will strongly encourage you to submit affidavits (at least two) from relatives/friends etc.

Do not forget to include front and back of the Perm Res card and the filing fee of course. :) :)

Good luck.

I figured that it is a simple matter to open a joint account, hence that part of evidence can easily be faked. It is not easy to fake all the transactions over the entire duration of marriage. All these little transactions over these last two years show that we did what married couples basically do. It does make the application very bulky though. But then the officer might wanna to go home early that day, so there is that :-/
