You have to wait on the biometrics letter to try to do the walk in. I'm in the same waiting situation for biometrics letter.

Yes you still get RFE after NOA1.. The NOA1 is just a notice that they got ur packet and will give you your Case Number.

Just got an email saying that my application is now ready for interview scheduling. Hopefully I will get an interview letter soon :)

Just got an email saying that my application is now ready for interview scheduling. Hopefully I will get an interview letter soon :)

That's quick for interview scheduling! Hope your EAD and AP is approved soon as well!

Yes, I was surprised when I got the email.. But from what I've gathered, it can stay in this step for a long time

I got texts and emails from them last night too.. hope to get the official letter very soon..

Hi everyone! My paper notice hasn't come in the mail yet, but I checked my status online and the 131 and 765 were in "initial review" and 485 in "acceptance." BUT for the 485 it was sent to the Nebraska Service Center, is this normal??? Did anyone get this??

I managed to do an early biometrics walk-in at the Cincinnati office today. The staff were really friendly and I was in and out in 30 minutes!

Back to waiting!

Hi! For the early walk in do I have to wait for an actual biometrics letter with an appointment date on it first? I have my case numbers, but no biometrics letter yet!

Yes, you need the appointment letter to be able to do a walk in. It shouldn't be that long until you receive your biometric appointment letter...can take up to a month.

Hi! On your timeline it states that "Testing/interview" July 30. Can you elaborate some more please? Interview for the Green Card?? If so CONGRATS!

I meant that on July 30th I got an email stating that my AOS is now ready for interview scheduling and when I log in to the website, it is now at the Testing and Interview step. :)

I got a letter from Selective Service today, thanking me for signing up - I assume this is a regular part of the AOS process considering it says it right on the form. However, I've not yet received anything from USCIS indicating the case is moving forward, other than having my biometrics done a month ago. The case tracker on the website even still says "acceptance".

Does getting the Selective service letter indicate my petition has been approved, or at least moving forward?

AOS:

NOA: June 16th, 2014

NPIW: September 29th, 2014

Received Green Card: June 13th, 2015.

 

RoC: 

California Service Center

Submitted: March 22nd, 2017

Completed: October 5th, 2018

 

N-400:

Submitted: December 11th, 2019

Biometrics: December 31st, 2019

Interview: April 22nd, 2020

Interview descheduled and now waiting for further updates...

I just got a text/email notification from them this afternoon stating that my case is now ready for interview scheduling (testing and interview). Wow! I sure hope I receive an interview appointment date soon.

Question...on the email they sent me it says...

"Your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS is now ready for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address."

Does that mean that I should be receiving a notice with a date and time for my interview WITHIN the next 30 days? Someone please clarify!

Did you already have your official letter? I was wondering why I only received 2 letters (employment & travel) but I haven't received the notification for I-485 itself :wacko:
