Hi Everyone,

July filer here! We had our AOS interview in early April. Due to two issues, we weren't approved right away.

1) The sealed envelope that you give the border agent when you enter on a K1/the day you move to the US, didn't reach my local office before we were interviewed.

2) After doing 2 biometrics appointments, they still couldn't get my prints and I had to go get a police/sheriff clearance.

We waited and nothing. My EAD/AP was set to expire in September. This week was our 120 day window. We have our honeymoon booked, coming back 3 days after my EAD/AP expired. I was freaking out. What if they lost the package and I had to do the medical again? How much notice would I get? Could I get it done quickly and in time for our trip?

We had called after a few weeks to see if there was any updates to our file and got nothing. Finally, a service request was put through tier 1 CSR on the info line and they said I could always ask for a letter saying that AOS is pending and that I could come back into the country, even though my AP expired 3 days previously. An agent at my local office called me a few days later. He called twice, back to back, and unfortunately I was at work and wasn't able to answer either calls. They left a message telling me to 'try and call back' but never left a phone number. I waited a few more days and after refreshing the infopass website 1000 times, I was able to get a infopass appointment. I thought it wouldn't hurt to go ask and see what my chances are in getting approved or if they had any idea if my package reached their office yet, or if they would give me a notice saying I can return 3 days after AP has expired if my I'm still pending AOS and my EAD/AP isn't renewed on time.

Yesterday, at around 4:30 pm... I was getting ready to leave the office to take 2 more passport photos before I send my EAD/AP renewal forms in. I'm literally standing up and I get an email on my phone... my card is in production!!!

Wishing everyone else on this journey the best! Hoping y'all get notices soon!

Good evening all!

I received a flurry of texts at 4:31pm today for my renewals. Three texts for one new receipt notice (probably EAD) and four texts for another new receipt notice (probably AP). All said that my case had been received. I can't check them on the tracker yet though.

Just wanted to send a quick update. We filed AOS based on an approved employment based immigrant petition. As soon as the online timeline updated to dates after my submission date, I filed an inquiry using the online form. 3 weeks later they sent my husband and I RFEs - his medical form was incomplete, and we both needed to send evidence that we had been in status for the last 8-9 (!) years. 3 weeks after submitting the requested information, we received our welcome packet and our cards have been mailed out! TSC was really backed up and they did not update our case statuses when they sent the RFE, so it is hard to gauge if things are moving along. If you haven't heard anything by now, submit an inquiry into your case to get it moving along.

A big congratulations to those of you that have received your green cards!!! It's awesome to finally hear that they are rolling in slowly but surely.

We're still waiting here. I'm going to place another call this week to USCIS to check on status. The last time I was told by an officer here in our local office that they were going to have our case transferred to the local office, which would take 30 days. It's been past that 30 day mark so, I figured I might as well call again. We're also a potential waiver case so, that's probably why it's taking so long.

In the meanwhile, I did mail in the EAD combo card renewal this week after a USCIS employee told me it wouldn't be a bad idea just in case.
