Oh wow, I am still waiting for an interview too but my office is Long Island. Seems like there is a serious delay in NY office processings the forms. Aaah hope patience has its virtues!

You have to wait on the biometrics letter to try to do the walk in. I'm in the same waiting situation for biometrics letter.

Yes you still get RFE after NOA1.. The NOA1 is just a notice that they got ur packet and will give you your Case Number.

A bit off topic...Just wanted to update anyone who plan to use their AP combo card when entering the country.

At the port of entry (Chicago) the Customs and Border patrol officer directed me to a room which had other people waiting with families etc.

Waited an hour for my Passport and AP to be returned to me without any issues.

But ’tis a common proof

Hi all,

I finally received the letter with the scheduled day/time for my interview.

I am a little bit perplexed with the fact that the letter asks to bring a number of forms and documents that I already submitted with my original application (and I didn't keep copies, my bad here), e.g. medical examination, form i-864, birth certificate + translation, etc.

It seems to me that this might be the case because you don't necessarily have to submit I-765 + I-864 and required documentation at the same time. So, if you didn't submit those in advance, then you have to bring them to the interview.

I tried to call the USCIS customer service, however it is not accepting my receipt number. It keeps saying that I have to input 10 digits, which I did several times but it's still not working. There is no trick such as pressing 0 to speak to an agent, so I am at a loss on how to get an official answer.

The question is: do I have to bring all those documents and forms again?

I just received a letter from the USCIS saying that my AOS interview was likely to be waived (yay) but that it was going to take 6 more months starting at the date that the letter was sent.... So I guess I won't be getting a greencard before this summer.

On a different subject, does any of you know if you can work on a 1099 with the EAD? If yes has anyone filled a W9?

With an EAD you can do any type of work (I believe). I even started my own business (LLC) after getting my EAD. I think 1099 or W-2 should be fine.

Had the Interview and was approved.

Card has been ordered for production.

Let me know if anyone wants to know specifics of the interview or anything else. VJ has been very helpful in the entire process. So much experience and knowledge here.

Please bring all the originals mentioned in the interview letter.

If you submitted the originals then you don't need to worry. But if it is the only original you may request it back and they could have a copy. They have the capability of taking copies on site.

I did not have an original document and had to go back another day with the original to get approved. Will save you a lot of time.

If it is the copies of original forms you are worried about then I wouldn't bother too much. Unless they lost it or did not receive it.

But if you have received your AP and your EAD card then it means that they already have your I-765 and I864 on file.
