You have to wait on the biometrics letter to try to do the walk in. I'm in the same waiting situation for biometrics letter.

Yes you still get RFE after NOA1.. The NOA1 is just a notice that they got ur packet and will give you your Case Number.

I got my EAD/AP combo card yesterday :) I hope I'll hear some good news from USCIS next week (interview schedule). Good luck to all of us!

Question, can I use the EAD card together with my marriage certificate to change name in SSA? or they'll only accept the greencard? thanks!

My wife changed her name on her Social Security card using her EAD. I don't recall if she also brought the marriage certificate—that very well could be a requirement and you obviously should bring it.

Before marriage my wife's SS card read "Valid for work only with DHS authorization," and that text doesn't come off until the green card (even though she has the EAD and can work), so she will have to go back to our local SSA office again once we have the green card. But updating her SS card allowed her to get a driver license in her married name, which allowed her to start changing all of her documents.

Since I didn't get an alert (email or text) that my EAD and AP was approved, do you think I should call customer service to see if they have a tracking number? Not sure if it's worth the hold time... =D

I got my tracking number 4 days after it had been sent. ) not right after. :)

thanks a lot for the information :) I guess I have to wait for the green card then coz I dont want to go back again and again at the SSA since its kinda far from us and as well as for the driver's license probably wait for the green card too.

I just had my interview in saint albans, Vermont and it was super easy! The officer was very serious but he said we submitted enough evidence so he just asked me a few things and asked me for ny i94 and ead. He said they have to keep them because the green card replaces them. He also went through our pictures and that was it, quick and easy. After the interview i received an email stating my green card is in card production.

Good luck to all those waiting for the interview date.

First, congrats to everyone who's moving along in their process!! Second, yesterday was the last day on my husbands k1, so is it okay that we still haven't received the EAD? Last, many people who received the noa1 and biometrics later than I have already been approved for EAD but I haven't. Should I call USCIS just in case something went wrong? I haven't received an RFE.

2 weeks since our interview....and still nothing!!! How depressing and frustrating.

When should I call to check on my case? After the 30th day mark?
