April 26. It will Expire July 24 so I still Have 10 days..

OK - go back in with

your passport

your printed I-94

tell the clerk you are a K-1 visa holder, and ask that they look you up in your VISA name and VISA A# in the SAVE database system. Show them the VISA.

If the clerk seems incompetent on this one thing,

ask for the supervisor.

And never, ever apply (the first time) in your new married name - as that'll trigger a DHS Verification process that you NOT have time for.

[print out my one reply here, take it with you, and hammer hammer hammer until the clerk allows you to apply in VISA Name]

GO BACK the next day and either:

--you'll learn of the number or

--you'll learn of SAVE database errors that trigger a DHS Verification process.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Getting a ssn after marriage is a nightmare, as the data base has my (now) wife's maiden name, and we had to go 5 times to SSN office, and finally got a supervisor, that showed the problem, an my wife had only 19 days left on I-94.

First thing to do when arriving in USA on K-1, before getting married, get ssn number.,.,.,,.then go back and change your name!

I entered on a K1 visa but only applied for my SSN after getting married, no problems, got the card within a week. Happy days.

Honestly believe most of the issue is WHO you actually end up talking to at the SS office. If you get an idiot, I'm afraid you might end up banging your head against a brick wall. If you get someone good, smooth process.
