I highly recommend using Google Chrome along with Auto Refresh Plus. You can set it for pop up notification and play music as soon as it finds the text "available" when it refreshes your dashboard.

It increases your chances by 100%. Tip: as soon as you get a notification click the pop up to turn off the refresh and then click continue. If you click continue first your screen will still refresh according to the time setting and you will loose your appointment

Good tip. One thing you can do also is to set the refresh URL to just the dashboard, and once the available date shows up and you click on Continue, the URL changes and it and it will automatically disable Autorefresh because you are now on a different URL... happened to me when I did it :)
