We would like to thank everyone for their invaluable input and information on this site. We have paid our fee and signed up to make an appointment online. So far no appointments are available. We noticed that the dashboard photos other members have posted shows on the top left side-Schedule Appointment. Ours shows- Continue-New Application/Schedule Appointment. Are we doing something wrong? Please see attachments. The first one is ours. The other is what others are posting. Why the difference?

You're seeing your Dashboard (DB) blank because right now there are no appointments available. Until one becomes available you will see a complete "white" space after your menu's that you see on the left side of your DB. (see the link at the bottom of the page for additional diagrams and page snapshots)

There have been others who have been using a script to help in getting a appointment. Here are the details.

I recommend using c4c (check4change at http://www.check4change.com/ ) with a refreshing window every 2-4 seconds from the dashboard using custom menu of c4c to nab an appointment that comes available. The software will check for any changes on the website for the time you choose to set. Be sure to turn off your computer sleep mode so that the computer remains on.

If you do not have Firefox installed you can get a copy here for free: http://www.mozilla.o...US/firefox/new/ Yes, install Firefox just to use c4c coz the add-on for Chrome and Internet Explore (IE) didn't really work that well. I tried them on a test website before using it grab a new date or for some any date, just to see how the add on works.

Highlight the entire DB so that C4C will see a change to the webpage; you can do this from the settings page.

As soon as the C4C alarm goes off on DB page, forget looking for a date, you lose too much time. At the top left, hit continue, C4C will give you a pop-up, cancel or OK , quickly hit Ok on the pop-up It should take you to next page, scroll down to bottom right, quickly hit continue, at this point if your lucky your page will refresh then a 30 day calendar will appear, mash the 1st available date.... practice the speed drill on the DB page. Good Luck

If C4C alarmed because either you were too slow, or a power problem. The first being more likely. Make sure your computer settings are set to 'no sleep'.

Thanks to all that have contributed their experience, especially ROB187.

Thank you Greenbaum. I could not understand where C4C went after I downloaded it so I used Google Chrome and downloaded Auto Refresh Plus. It works great. But the main question remains as to why the difference in the dashboards.

That one may not be explained but at this juncture you should be looking forward and keep your eye on the ball. This is the only way you will get an appointment as so many are chasing them. You're lucky that you are on VJ and getting tips like this. You surely will beat out the competition with a score of one visa appointment.

I have been trying for 4 weeks. I installed Firefox and the c4c and it crashed my computer. I am only able to get online via AOL.

We saw the July 22 date last night but were too slow. Booo Hoooo.

So, now I have no alert/refresh program installed. This may take a major miracle.

I used Google Chrome with both Auto Refresh Plus and Page Monitor enabled for the Dashboard page, refreshing it every 15 seconds and set to notify me if the word "available" shows up after the refresh... and it did last night after 5 weeks of waiting... got the appointment for July 22...

I don't think I ever could have gotten that appointment if I was just occassionally refreshing the page ... thanks to everyone who gave that tip, I'm forever grateful... now to get my girlfriend scheduled for medical and prep her for the interview...

Damn, I was too slow 4 times last night. As soon as I heard the alarm go off I stopped the auto refresher, clicked continue and selected a date on the calender. Twice I even selected the little check box for the date on the calender that I selected. But in the end I received an error message and the date was gone! I'm even more inspired now. I'm going to make this happen.
