Hello:

I'm about to send my I130 for my brother this week. I was wondering if I could translate my birth certificate since I know french and english, or do I have to do it professionally?

I dont think you can. Because it should be a certified translation either by a notarial or a councilor translation office in the embassy of your country to USA.

You should be able to do it yourself, but need to include a page similar to what is on the link http://www.visajourney.com/content/translations
