URGENT: My brother-in-law had interview in Dhaka embassy

Embassy asked why the nikanama (religious wedding certification) had the brother-in-law and sister's name printed on the signature box and not signed. Most certificate in Bangladesh has name printed and not signed. Embassy kept the police certificate and returned all the other document. They didn't keep the passport. They said they will call him. I'm freaking out. What do I do now? I told my BIL to go get a new nikanamah and sign it, fedex it to us, so my sister can sign it, what do we do now. interview was just 10 hours ago. Should I call the NVC or Embassy. Should I just wait? I'm so worried now. What do I do? Thanks.

I checked the case status on DOS. It's no administrative processing. Someone please reply to this post and tell me something. I'm so worried. I keep reading about AP that are from several years ago. No recent AP from Dhaka embassy.

Eve if your BIL is on AP, I don't think that status will appear that fast. Also what did his receipt says? I am sure the interviewer is aware that most of the english translation of the nikahnama may not be signed and typed as it's not what is used what you actually sign on during your wedding. Does he have the one in Bangla! I think he can take that with him and explain that the original translated one may not have it signed.

I maybe a veteran of VJ but this AP is brand new. The processed took more than 1.5 years anyways and now I don't know how long it's going to take. I asked my BIL to email me the receipt. Will probably get it tonight. No other information was missing. Everything is impeccable. I checked my NIKAHNAMA. It too doesn't have my signature but the registrar printed my name and my wife's name. That's how all the NIKAHNAMA are done. I checked on my friend's also. I don't know why the interviewer gave my BIL ####### for things that is common. They kept his number and said they'll call him. So he couldn't even actually gather the originnal nikahnama with actual signature and go in. Or could he? Could he call and make an appointment to appear again? I just need to find someone with AP in DHAKA and see what, how, and how long it took. Most AP from DHAKA are from several years ago. So that doesn't help.

On the DOS case status, right after interview the update date was 30-JUN-2014. Couple of days later it changed to 01-JUL-2014. Now it's showing 09-JUL-2014. Any idea what this means? Anyone? Please reply.
