Ergo, if a doctor were to prescribe contraceptives, it should be covered, unless of course the church now presume to be the holder of the truth in all things medical.

This is not about the church. This is about the rights of a person who operates a business not being forced to pay for something that violates his basic core belief system .

How can the left scream no one has the right to a women choices but her, but demand someone else pay for those choices. The cost of morning after pills are about 46 bucks. No one is going to be denied access to this if the employer is not forced to cover it .

I am pro choice, but that is not the issue here.

My doctor has to tailor my prescriptions to what Blue Cross and express Scripts will pay for . Just because a doctor writes a script is no guarantee the insurance company will pay for it .

All right, but you know that's not going to happen, right? Insurance companies are all like "poor wittle us, we make so much money off of sick people but we need more!" and some actors in Washington do what they can to get them more money.

There will be no decrease in premiums from this decision and the insurance companies will just take the money.

Whoope.. 46 bucks a shot... How many times in one lifetime will someone need the morning after pill? The insurance company's will not grow rich off this for sure .

You're quite emotional. Do you hear screaming when people talk to you in normal tones?

Ok substitute protest for scream. You feel better now ? Really ?

Free from having to worry about health insurance period, presumably. Let the good times roll.

Maybe some thought should have gone into this legislation beside shotgun 'reconciliation' and "we have to pass the bill to find out what's in it". Perhaps these 41 unconstitutional delays and changes wouldn't have been needed as well.

Maybe if the constitution had produced a system that worked the elected representatives wouldn't find themselves in a position where people are elected to fulfill a mandate but lack the mechanism to put it in place because the opposition, instead of playing a role as law framers and ensuring that law is put into place that serves all the constituents well, has adopted a 'turn up and vote no' thus ensuring that your politicians are based enormous fat fees to sit on their ####### and do very little. That's your constitution not working very well, not elected representatives with maniacal agendas.

people are elected to fulfill a mandate

There was never popular support for Obamacare. Never. Not ever. There was no mandate whatsoever. Not even when it was merely a glitzy promise, much less when it was a (still!) busted website and millions of cancelled policies.

"Mandate", eh?

Factually, you are quite wrong on that.

They have no religious belief. It is just a way for the church to tell others how they should live their lives... I wonder if they also object to paying for coverage for Viagra, Cialis and the likes...

Have you been to a hobby lobby? There's a sign on the door explaining why they are closed on Sunday but nothing about Saturday or other religious holidays for non Christians. Now what?

I used to be married to a Jewish man and I am Christian. We often joked about adopting a Muslim baby so we could have three day weekends every week.

Haha. Very droll. Almost as amusing as the preznit picking a fight with the Catholic church because they didn't see how "his" gubmint could force them to provide contraception to their employees.

I'm curious about something: what do you get from using the words preznit and gubmint? Where I come from it basically means one has poor grammar and are less than intelligent and no respect for those you refer to. I wish you would put more effort in finding a solution to the problem instead complain, belittle and whine about what is.

If we don't want insurance to cost so much, we should not mandate hospitals to take patients who can't prove they can pay first.

Sub-dermal implants for people who have insurance and can afford it and can be scanned before you're allowed within 200 feet of a hospital entrance would solve this.

Make it so.
