Supreme Court Rules Some Employers Don't Have to Cover Birth Control

This is a form of discrimination against personal and private choice and shouldn't be allowed. It is fine for one to refuse the contraception option offered in the ACA if one so chooses, but it is not fine for an employer to make that personal and private choice for their employees.

Haha. Very droll. Almost as amusing as the preznit picking a fight with the Catholic church because they didn't see how "his" gubmint could force them to provide contraception to their employees.

Birth control is probably cheaper than the insurance costs of having or bringing up a child.

Not to mention it is none of any church's business. They should stick to fairy tale and mythology, which is the core of their business and leave actuality to the real world.

Good ruling. No one should be allowed to interfere or be forced to fund someone elses reproductive choices. Stay out of my womb, but pay for my choices. Hypocrisy at it's best.

I fully support a woman's right to choose, and my right not to pay for it.

Here, here! Perfectly put.

Pay for your own damn contraception (and Viagra, etc)!

People are paying for the insurance, more than the cost of BC would be a month. Why do you support insurance companies getting all the premium money and not giving any benefit to the people?

Conversely, the case would be made that the ACA should not cover blood transfusions, on religious grounds, and that one should pay for one own blood.

In the real world, however, we all know that neither the government nor the insurance companies are forcing anyone to take contraceptives, or take a blood transfusion if that should be against their personal beliefs. The church however reserves the right to presume to tell others how to live their lives and to have as many children as one can, which is all the more sad, given their history of pedophilia through the ages.

We don't live in a perfect world, to deny anyone access to contraception and birth control is ridiculous in this day and age, no matter who is paying for it. It's a universal healthcare system, not a pick and chose as you go system. If you don't want to use some of the services offered under the ACA, then fine, don't use them. But don't force the people you employ and claim to care about to seek other methods simply because of your own personal beliefs.

You obviously do not understand Obama's takeover of the healthcare system. First of all, no one is being "denied access." That is a misleading, inflammatory term. What may be denied in some circumstances is taxpayer funding for contraceptives, which is vastly different from access. Additionally, "universal" does not mean everything is covered 100% -- there are many things that are not covered under this atrocious "act."
