I already updated my address with the NVC and when I called USCIS to update the address, apparently, there is a process about contacting the local office to get a simple address change.

However, when I spoke with rep, he did say that since our i-130 has already been approved, we really wouldn't need to update the address.

i just want confirm that this is the case. Everything is already approved and we are waiting on the interview date. Going forward, would we receive any mail from USCIS? i,e does the green card, visa, and/or 2 year conditional letter notice come from uscis, or NVC?

Green card - USCIS.

It's also mandated by law to update the immigrant address - AR-11 look it up on uscis.gov forms and I-865 for sponsor.

Every time I move, I notify USCIS even though my sister's I-130 has been approved and is sitting in NVC.

After the green card then you must continue to update addresses with the USCIS (both the petitioner and beneficiary.) Between the petition approval and when the beneficiary enters the USA, (at which point they can update an address at the POE) addresses do not need to be updated with the USCIS.
