I realized this very late, Now my interview is on July 18th, I guess I have no option but to postpone my interview till the Tax Return is amended.

it takes approximately 8-12 weeks, but it is taking longer now.... they rec'd mine 4/14, I checked the status today, they said they couldn't process it... idk y..

Form I-130
9/9/2013: Married

10/21/2013: APPLICATION SENT

10/23/2013: NOA1

4/1/2014: NOA2

8/14/2014: Case Complete

10/20/2014: POE EXACT A YEAR!

 

Form I-751: Remove the Conditions on Residence

7/27/2016: Application Sent

8/1/2016: NOA1 - CSC 

10/18/2016: Biometrics

12/1/2017: Received RFE

12/7/2017: additional evidence sent and delivered 

2/2/2018: Green card mailed! Status changed!

just got off phone with NVC, it only took less than 20 minutes on hold, i believe they make progress, or just lot people give up try to calling NVV.

ps the lady is nice :dancing:

May 19 2012--- Got married in Shanghai China

USCIS
Oct 9 2013 --- i-130 sent.
Oct 11 2013 ---- Piority date
Oct 17 2013. ----NOA1 Receipt
Mar 18 2014. ---- petition was transfered to Texas
May 27 2014 ---- NOA2 approval
May 29 2014---- NOA2 hard copy received.


NVC
May 29 2014. --- case shipped to NVC
June 6 2014. --- case arrived at NVC
June 26 2014. - ---- Case number Assigned (found out by calling NVC)
June 26 2014.-------DS-261 and AOS bill received, filled and pay
June 30 2014. ---- AOS showed as PAID
June 27 2014. ---- AOS package shipped to NVC
July 8 2014 --- AOS received (told by NVC rep thr phone call on July 9)

I was surprised this time when I called NVC. I got thru in the 4th try (around 2.15 pm CT) and was on hold for only 16 minutes. To me that was very unusual as I have waited as much as 70 minutes at times.

Does this mean NVC is getting better? Although I do want to mention that she asked me to wait "30 business days"

Is NVC getting better? Did the average NVC timeline suddenly change from 55 days to 30 days? :rofl: I believe you just got lucky! :dance:

I was able to talk to an NVC agent around 6pm (PST) yesterday after trying 50 times and was on hold for 50 minutes. :bonk:

Is it my imagination or is NVC easing up on frivolous checklists lately?

Sorry for being cynical (or realistic?), but it takes longer for us to receive checklists since it's taking longer for NVC to process our documents. :bonk:

I believe that's the reason why we're seeing fewer postings of people getting hit with a checklist. :dead:

Naturalization

N-400 Sent: Aug 22, 2017

Just got two emails from nvc. Stating that they recieved my payments for aos and iv. Anyone had this similar happen to them, my iv was approved last month and my aos im just waiting on a checklist review.

I just got my IV invoice a few min ago! What a relief, thank God.

Question for others, how soon after the email does the portal let you pay.

For Pakistan, can anyone please confirm the documents needed.

I am sending off the following:

a. Original Marriage Certificate

b. Original Birth Certificate of Beneficiary

c. Colored copy of passport

d. 2 passport size pictures

e. PCC

That's all I could find, reading Saylin's wiki and the NVC site. Can anyone please let me know if I am missing anything?

NOA2: 4/13/2014

NVC Received Case: 4/28/2014

NVC Assigned Case no and IIN: 5/21/2014

DS261 available and submitted: 5/31/2014

AOS fees available and paid: 6/2/2014

AOS package sent out:6/3/2014

AOS fee shows paid: 6/4/2014

Resubmitted DS261 because it showed incomplete: 6/5/2014

AOS Package scanned at NVC: 6/9/2014 :protest:

Did u get all the originals certified from foreign ministry? Just asking for general info cuz I would have I send it in a couple days myself hopefully. And I am also sending my police certificate from Pakistan although the website says it's not reuqired but just in case.

Oh and also include ur original Nikah Nama both Urdu and English.

No, because the Originals are from the issuing authority. They do not need to be certified from ministries as long as they are coming from the issuing aurthority.

Do you agree with the list below?

I too am facing a similar problem like yours? did anyone say anything about how long does it take to change the status from single to married filing separately?

what exactly is the issue? is nvc giving you hard time?

I filed as HOH since my mom lives with me. NVC hasnt told me anything about my supporting documents having issues.

07-09-13 - Application received at Chicago Lockbox NOA1

01-03-14 - Transfer notice to Nebraska

01-06-14 - Application received at Nebraska

03-13-14 - NOA2 notification

03-25-14 - NVC received case

04-24-14 - Case number and IIN received over the phone

05-02-14 - Paid AOS Fees

05-06-14 - Sent AOS package

05-07-14 - AOS Fees showed up as paid

05-08-14 - AOS package received at NVC (Scanned on may 8th)

05-08-14 - IV Bill showed up and paid

05-12-14 - Sent IV package overnight

05-13-14 - IV package received at NVC (Scanned on may 15th)

06-05-14 - AOS Checklist for not having N/A written for "Place of Residence" (checklist info received over the phone).
