Hey guys can someone clear this up for me? I've been reading the last few posts and everyone is saying that we need to bring the ds-260 confirmation page. I went into my case status and hit sign again to get to the confirmation page and it's saying that it has been forwarded to the consulate for review. Does this mean that I just accidentally resubmitted this form?!!!!

2 months on and we are STILL waiting for our AOS to be approved. Desperate to speak to someone to find out what the hell is going on....

Are you going to the visa status or immigrant visa site?

Immigrant visa site, whichever site that you pay and submit documents to. I did check today and case status update is 7/8 but status is Ready. Same status as 6/30

Are you calling in within USA when it is engaged try to call in again.. untill you get picked up just drop and redial drop and redial, it works

As fast you drop and redial as fast you will get the call connected ! but be sure you are in US when calling !

Yep calling from inside the States. Tried that and nothing is working. My patience has really come to an end now.

Call at 7 am in the morning. thats the best time to get through…keep dialing and dialing and dialing….and even then you may have a 30 min to an hour wait.

Calling is not a problem ,but after that they just reply simply that wait 30 busineess days as their pet dialogue that is so frustrating.......

Yep calling from inside the States. Tried that and nothing is working. My patience has really come to an end now.

i recommend calling late, ~8 pm PST. the average hold time would be about 30 minutes

I just got checklisted today for my AOS package (scanned May 29)... and a real one, not a false one

Please let me know if anyone has experience with this request:

Background: I live in Chile with my husband and have a job here that will end before we move back to the US. I sent the forms, my 2013 taxes and a cover letter emphasizing that my income will not continue once we move. My dad is the co-sponsor and he is covering all of the financial support requirements.

The checklist says:

You must submit the following financial evidence:

[x] Proof of current employment (examples: a recently dated job letter, pay stub, or a copy of your business license)

What should the letter form my employer even say? That my contract will end on X date? Why do they even care if that income is not going to continue when we move?

This actually happened to a friend of mine in the same situation two years ago and I really tried to avoid it by making lots of notes in the packet. I don´t know how this could be avoided for someone else.

Thank you so much! I really hope someone can give me some advice! I plan on calling NVC tonight, of course, but I don´t know how helpful they´ll be.

Ok so we found out the problem - we sent our AOS packet on 7th May BUT it wasn't scanned in until 12th June!!!! That's 26 working days to just scan the ****ing thing into the system. What a joke! Well at least we know what the hold up is... And still we wait!

hello all we just got an email today from the NVC saying that the AOS package we sent by ep is password encrypted any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Also has anyone had their AOS fee suddenly change from paid to paynow?? I am getting a little worried here.
