Well, Austin dear, I used to be very easy going but now I step on bugs and name them names like Joyless and Aurthur hahahahaa

Yea i had N/A for AOS, Scan date dont know, mailed all documents in, the last one to be reviewed was Singapore certificate of clearance which took for ever to get.

Are you a Singapore Citizen. I know that Singapore don't do Police Clearance Certificates for non-Singaporean Citizens anymore. We lived there for 15 months in 1996 so I am hoping I don't get check listed for this Certificate.

Would Singapore not send it direct to the Consulate ready for your interview?

My husband lived in Singapore for a few years and we got a Police Clearance for him. They mailed it to us. And then we included it with the IV package.

Were you able to get that without the NVC checklist? I thought Singapore would only do that with the silly checklist and then they send to NVC direct. If that is not the case I will send off when we get back from holiday tomorrow.

At the moment we are up on Hamilton Island. The family is together again - first time in five months. Hubby flies back to New York on Dunday and then back to the waiting.

Would love to hear your thoughts?

Yes, we are June 2nd, fingers crossed for news this week or early next week if they are stuck on their 30 business days.

Ugh, bad news continues. Apparently the flight my husband's work booked wasn't refundable. So, I still have to pay off the flight and I'll get a credit to my Delta account, minus a $200 cancellation fee >_<

They are quoting 30 business days so you are probably a little way away yet.

If I can believe what the rep told me, NVC is actually working on Jun 3rd scanned documents. but mine has not been reviewed yet.

Do they really know, all they tell us is 30 business days.

Just got off the phone with the NVC found out case complete, now we wait for the email saying its complete and the interview date, any info on hong hong and how soon we can expect ? Wife's visa for Hong Kong expires at the end of aug and we are stressing a little over that.

Looks like NVC is still working on May 30th scan dates. If they are receiving 22k files a day compared to 6k/week before, it makes sense that it would take them > 1 day to process 1 day's worth of scans.

Hopes and dreams for an August interview in London are now quickly fading.

That's a tricky one.

We prepared ourselves for the police certificates well ahead of processing time at NVC because my husband had lived in several countries and we knew it would take time to get them all.

So it is hard to say if they would have check-listed us for NOT having the Singapore police clearance, as we included it.

We got checklisted on the AOS. A very dumb mistake on our part...I apparently left question 12 on part 4 blank (are you currently serving or have you been in the us military). My husband and I checked over the AOS no less than 10 times...I don't know how we both missed it.

The Singapore Certificate of Clearance took 2 months to receive.

You may want to get on it as soon as you're back from holiday.

Perhaps it is worth a call to the NVC to tell them that Singapore is no longer issuing police certificates and see what they say.

If you are going to apply for the Sing police Clearance this is what you need:

2 Passport photos

$50 singapore (an ANZ check for 50), - but fee may have gone up.

Australian police check with full finger prints

passport copy

I-797 copy (US)

And the following 2 forms:

Application form for appeal for certificate of clearance

Application form certificate of clearance

(Both of the above applications were different, and my husband included both)

Let me know if you need any other info.

Finally was able to pay the IV fee and also received an e-mail with a PDF will check in a bit. sort of.

Hummmm my message went poof but was going to say ty had no idea. I'm a Respiratory Therapist but you seem sweet not like the Dr's here hahaha want to shoot them sometimes. Ok maybe just kick them a few times.

My husband landed in Boston last Wednesday evening, zipped through the airport thanks to preclearance at Dublin, and we had 5 days to settle in and enjoy our time together. Today I'm back at the office and it's time to figure out what everyday life is going to look like. VJ at work is a given I hope there's been a lot of good news around here lately!
