Hi guys still waiting on Ds-261 to become available..

Anyone filled out DS-261 before receiving email from NVC without having issues?

@Rlelle09 thanks! I did not yet receive any email from NVC, I've just gotten into the habit of checking the website every day when I get home from work. I didn't think there would be anything yet because I haven't gotten an email, so it came as a nice surprise :-)

I do the same thing lol. I filled out my DS261 TODAY and I didn't get an email from NVC

So far, for Canadians at least, the waiting time for access to DS-261 is 10 business days. If I am correct I should get access at the end of this week! If I am wrong,shoot me in the foot!! Lol!

ok so i am a worrier i cant help it. Logged into account so i could print a copy of the receipt for aos for our file and now all of a sudden it has gone from paid to not paid??? the receipt says rejected. I of course panic cause there is no reason it should have done this so i call the nvc and after an hour and half (woot) i get Dylan who tells me not to worry must be a glitch cause his screen says paid...... um glitch thanks for the panic. Has anyone else have this happen to them?? and should i be worrying? i know with the holidays and that it woud tAKE time to clear but wow was not expecting this.

You can use the I-864EZ. The third criteria is just talking about if your income you're using to qualify is based on salary or if you're getting income from other sources. You don't need to include W2s though if you have tax transcripts.

I am also struggling with this, trying to avoid a checklist; it seems they can be real sticklers and it has me paranoid. In order to file 186EZ, your income must be backed up by a W2 (or a tax transcript as we clarified) However, it is my understanding that they use your current income to determine eligibility. My current income is higher than the amount reflected on my 2013 W2, because I got a raise, although my income for both years is high enough to qualify me as a sole sponsor. Obviously I don't yet have a W2 to prove my current income, as the 2014 tax year has not yet ended. I am including 6 months of pay stubs and an employment letter, BUT I have no W2 to substantiate my current income, technically, and I believe your current income is what they compare to the poverty line. Does that mean I should file the regular I-864, just to be safe?

I hope that the holiday has lifted them up and they issue all the remaining IV invoices quickly! I thought mine will be available on 10th July but now it doesn't look like it

Hummmm my message went poof but was going to say ty had no idea. I'm a Respiratory Therapist but you seem sweet not like the Dr's here hahaha want to shoot them sometimes. Ok maybe just kick them a few times.

I can finally get in too!! My case # was assigned June 20th and I even called today about 2 hours ago and spoke to a super rude operator who verified my case was NOT set up yet. FINALLY I can fill out the DS 261! Good luck to all

I know what you mean! It's like every time I choose a line the other one goes quicker. Supermarket, traffic, USCIS, NVC.

Recieved an email stating "Coverletter checklist" and the attachment doesn't indicate any documents that's being asked...is it normal? false checklist? It's close to 30 "business days" since I sent out AOS Packet...if it is false checklist...why in the world workers at NVC wasting time to send out email...that'll scare the ####### out of people like us!!

If they are not asking for anything specific, it is likely a false checklist. You can call NVC to confirm. It is annoying, but also shows that they have reviewed and accepted your AOS docs and now are just waiting to review your IV docs.

Oh, wow. Now this is awkward Lol. I was tinkering with my signature, in anticipation of case complete this month or next and forgot to remove the case complete and dancing smileys before saving it.

Just so we're clear, I definitely have NOT gotten a CC yet. They still haven't delivered the IV and AOS package.

No problem happens to us all. Will be even nicer when you do.

You missed the point. They deliver inside the USA from international destinations.. If you wanted to send something from California to New Hampshire, DHL isn't an option. There is nothing in the website that contradicts what I said earlier, the news story below announcing the end of inter-US delivery, and the fact that I called and asked if it was possible to send something from one US state to another (and was told no).

Finally was able to pay the IV fee and also received an e-mail with a PDF will check in a bit. sort of.
