Have you read the NVC wiki I wrote? I'm a little wary since you mentioned including the DS-230 which has not been used for almost a year now.

hi guys .. hope everybody doing great . our AOS and IV package were delieverd at 4th june .. does anybody knows how long it ll take them to review our packages ?

Is June 4th the day the packages were delivered to NVC or the day NVC scanned them into the system? If June 4th is the scan date: there may be a chance they could get to your packages by the end of this week. If June 4th is the delivery date: I doubt you'll hear anything this week, maybe next week. This is based on the very slow pace they've been moving at, plus I haven't heard much activity yet with packages received in June. Good luck!

Hi all,

I sure hope to hear good news soon as I know the rest of you do as well. My civil docs arrived at the NVC on May 28th and my AOS docs arrived on June 2nd. That's all I know. If I don't hear of any updates in a week I'll give them a call. I thought about calling before, but I just figured it will happen when it happens. I'll watch for good news from others who's docs arrived when mine did.

ya never know, maybe you have a case complete! OOooOO! Worst that happens is they say "nope, wait 30 business days."

I received a false checklist on 2nd july about IV documents not being sent to NVC, when our documents were delivered at NVC on june 11..does anyone know how long ill have to wait for case complete from here on? When should i give them a call to hear case complete? Im assuming my AOS was approved because that was delivered at NVC on 23rd May..i got no checklist about it so far..

You might have a case complete by next week Hopefully the July 4th holiday hasn't put them too far behind schedule.

Is it just me or was that a LONG long weekend? Ha ha. I can't wait until NVC open and start getting through some dates. I am hoping for a case complete in about 2 weeks and time is going so slowwwwwww.

Mine was delivered on June 10th and scanned on 13th. I don't expect any activity on my case until the week of July 14th.

Then mine mustve been around these dates too..God this process is taking foreverrr..i just hope i dont get any checklist about the documents..we did send everything they asked for and all originals..ill be following u to see when u get case complete..?..then ill call them..thank you ?

form ds260 will be the form you fill out and that is done online only.

As for U.S citizenship for your daughter. I dont think she becomes a U.S. citizen upon entry. I think both parents have to be U.S. citizens when she was born if i am not wrong . But she does qualify for Automatic Acquisition of U.S. Citizenship

Section 320: Automatic Acquisition of U.S. Citizenship for Children Born Outside of the United States and Residing Permanently in the United States

The child must meet the following requirements:

• Have at least one U.S. citizen parent by birth or naturalization;
• Be under 18 years of age;
• Live in the legal and physical custody of the U.S. citizen parent;
• Be admitted as an immigrant for lawful permanent residence; and

I have a similar case with my son (17) and i will apply for his passport & passport book. I cant go for his naturalization certificate N 600 because there is no guarantee he will be done with the whole process before he turns 18 (October).

The false checklist for the IV documents means that the AOS was reviewed and is okay.

Now you wait on the DS-260 false checklist and the AOS false checklist, (or the N/A thing, as described in the NVC process wiki... or a case complete confirmation.) You likely will not get one of those until July 24th at the earliest. IMO.

Yes, the daughter does acquire citizenship upon entry. She needs to apply for the SSN and passport after entering the USA and do not pay the new immigrant fee as that is for producing the green card that the child does not need. Citizenship only requires one citizen parent and certain criteria to be met. Since the child is under 18, and will be an LPR upon entry, they also become a citizen upon entry. You don't need a naturalization certificate if you have a passport.

So even in your case, your son, will be a citizen when he arrives. The N-600 is for when the child is already in the USA when the parent naturalizes and is optional.

FYI to everyone:

I'd wait to call until Monday night or Tuesday at the earliest.

Nothing happened during the weekend. Calling Monday, unless you need help with something, is really a waste of your time.

my AOS package was delivered on 27th june so far no updates from the NVC and the IV fee's will be invoiced on 27th july as i posted earliar.I will wait for another week if NVC doesn't update me on the AOS package this sucks
