We did not attempt to bring water bottles up, but I saw others with bottles (including a LOT of mothers with little ones!). We were upstairs only ONE HOUR - we didn't even start to panic about having no restroom!

By the way...when you get to the 10th floor in the MLC, PCOZ, you'll have to walk all the way around the floor (it's kind of in a big circle). Close to the Consulate's doors are a couple of chairs. By these chairs are a flight of stairs that go down one floor. There are restrooms at the bottom of the stairs. It really wasn't bad. We arrived at 8:30 for our 9:00 appointment, but they would not let us go through security until 8:45. I think having the earlier interview slots is better from a crown perspective. There were a lot of American Citizens coming through needing new passports or notary services.

Yes, it only took two days to get the passport and the "DO NOT OPEN" envelope back. Earlier, we had thought we would be interviewing in early June (before NVC screwed up our file). We had flights out on July 7th originally. Then we got our interview for July 1st. I was too nervous about trying to fly out on July 7th, because it would have meant her passport would have had to arrive by July 4th. (No mail delivery on weekends in Australia).

So we changed our flights to the 15th of July. And...we could have used our original tickets! Luckily, there was no change penalty....

Sukie in Oz

Thanks so much for the detail Sukie, much appreciated.

Now all we need is a CC...

So good you got your tix without penalty.

You both must be very excited to get back and enjoy a bit of summer.

Feeling really frustrated seeing all the delay for everyone :( isn't 14 months enough time ! The big question is, how much longer?! I wish i was given a date instead of guessing ! Few months ago I thought we'll be together this summer now I'm afraid I won't make it to celebrate his birthday in October ! Not only it's hard to wait but the disappoint that comes with it is heartbreaking .

Talked to two supervisors about it! The first one said she sent it back to be removed, didn't know how long it would take, the second one said it could take up to 30 business days.

*Sigh* :(. I've been trying to stay away and stay distracted with my wife. We're both fed up with it.

They really are backlogged if removing a stupid mistake on their end is taking this long.. Maybe the 25th of July, or 28th of July we'll hear something?

30 business days to remove a mistake!? That's 1 month and half or 45 days! :wow:

If it takes 45 days, it may be faster to respond to the checklist by sending NVC the documents they request.

What NVC is asking for does NOT exist, that's the problem. They should have never asked for it because they don't have W2's in the UK. Silly NVC better get going, murderer's in prison get treated better and quicker than we do. :(:ranting: expletive, :ranting: expletive. You may choose which ever expletive you wish. :D.

I agree 100% I'm tired and offended at people that only spent from 22 days to two months at USCIS crying because they may have to spend an extra 30 days waiting they are totally insensitive! I have thought of not coming to the thread but seem to be obbsessed afraid I might miss some important information. It's just sickening and I want someone in immigration to explain to us how this can happen or are they favoring some? I'm pissed and I just wont hide it, I have the right to express my feelings. :(

I really hope you sail through the NVC stage without any checklist since you've been waiting for a long time. :star:

People who waited for a long time at the USCIS stage don't deserve to get checklisted (as long as you fill out the form correctly and supply the necessary documents)! :)
