So then there really isn't a difference then right? Some who have done EP say they wish they had done snail mail, as fif it would have gone faster. What are the pros and cons to snail mail vs. EP? Hope I'm not asking too many questions :s

I discussed with the NVC last week about the EP and non EP case, EP is way way way backlogging.

Send them the snail mail seems better choice for now.

Non EP case takes about 30 days, and for the EP case is about 6 weeks (2 weeks for just enter the case into their sysem).

i'm doing EP, My aos took about 34ish days but I got a checklist. I emailed aos 5/20 at night, scan date was 6/11, got checklist on 6/25. emailed response 6/25.

now just waiting for the case complete...

idk how long it's gonna be....

hi everyone, my checklist was sent off earlier this week. I'm waiting for the doc review from IV docs scan date of Jun 17th, imagine it's going to be at least 2 weeks. I'm going to take a couple of weeks off the forums until they have been reviewed. Want to wish you all the luck in the world, especially those waiting case complete. Stay strong people!

It's currently taking a bit longer to review EP cases as they actually need to get to the email first. But a nice pro of EP is that you don't have to send in any originals/certified copies to NVC. Plus you save on shipping. But, since it's currently faster to process non-EP cases (barring them losing anything), that may be the way to go for now.

My joint sponsor input income from 1040 tax (his and spouse's income) in I864, I heard that his spouse also need to fill in I864A in this case, right? If only he is joint sponsor, he has to input income in W2 tax. Can anyone help me?

Im stuck in the EP as well, both packet scanned by NVC on June 20th.

There was delay for my case beacuse of the EP enrollment change, and didnt know till the beginning of June.

Called NVC this morning, spoke to Karl after 18 minutes of waiting,

Told him its 13 days not since case number was assigned and he said Ds-261 and AOS wont be available until 30 business.

Sigh!!

Go snail mail would be my advice. I have been around NVC since March. grrr.

The spouse only needs to fill out an I-864A and include their documents if they're going to contribute their income as well. If not, then the joint sponsor will just submit their W2s along with the tax transcripts to show their individual income.

I know....I think most of us thought EP would be faster, but it is ridiculous slow....

I got EP enrollment on 6/11. and I called 6/13 they told me 6/11 is scan date and asked me to wait 30 days...but I actually got response after 2 weeks of the scanned date.

Have you called? I think they might only email anyone who has checklist??? idk... your aos might be approved cause it looks like you are way before me..

I just hope we can all get it complete asap...... living apart is hard... I don't think nvc cares... :ranting:
