Hey guys! Just came back from the embassy. My visa was approved! :dancing:

We started our journey a year and 18 days ago. Even though we were lucky to be together during the whole process, it still was very frustrating. So thanks for all your help and encouraging words. You're the best!

Now it's time to wait again...

I posted earlier this morning (my time) on the ETA of the August thread ;)

Hehehe. Still at work ;) One more hour to go! It's actually just a two minute drive home :P But yeah, busy at work. It's my day for phones <_<

What day did you send in your DS-261?

I did submit it June 6 and resubmitted by mistake on June 12th

AOS application sent via Email June 10th . before June 24th when i called NVC they told me my scan date is June 10th. after that they are telling me my scan date is 24th !! and asking me where did you get the June 10th date from !

DS261 Submitted June 6th. Resubmitted by mistake June 12th

DS261 Accepted July 31 (got that through NVC call)

AOS checklist July 31 (got that through NVC call , didnt get email yet)

IV fee invoice Email , INVOICED on website and paid :) August 1st

AOS checklist email August 2nd .

AOS checklist send via Email Aug 4th

IV documents sent via Email Aug 4th - Scan date Aug 6th

DS260 Submitted Aug 4th

Expedite request sent Sep 6th

Expedite request forwarded to Amman , Jordan Embassy Sep 12th , under review

Expedite request approved Sep 16th. Status change to "in Transit" Sep 17th

Ok, now I've got myself excited when I probably shouldn't be. We completed ours on June 4th and still haven't received a IV invoice. I hope it comes tomorrow! Or hopefully next week.

11/29/2014 - POE in Seattle

*On 08/01/14 I received a checklist via email and responded right away. Over a month later, on 09/09/14, I received the hard-copy in the mail. Upon reading the hard-copy, I found that NVC made a mistake and emailed me the wrong checklist. I contacted a supervisor at NVC and she instructed me to write a letter of explanation to accompany my "real" checklist response. She also told me this may not help me and that we may be back in line. Lord help us!

i think you should call if you didn't receive email saying DS261 is accepted !. because the date they were giving when calling for DS261 is June 12 th . i asked for supervisor review yesterday but didnt speak with one , after putting me on hold the agent told me that the supervisor checked my case and expect something next week !

today told me its accepted but i didnt get the email yet.

Hey guys i had one last question. My wife will be giving birth at the end of august and her interview is in september. Do you guys think i can apply for passport and birth abroad certificate the same day as her interview if i bring all required paperwork for the baby?or am i better off just making an appointment for the baby before the interview.

Most of Consulate/Embassy has separate US Citizen Service and Visa Unit. Department of US Citizen Service only works on appointment so you can't do on the same day as interview unless you have appointment on that day. But they still process in separate department. In other words, the Consulate Officer who interview your spouse has no role to do anything on CRBA/Passport for your child

Oo true mAkes sense. So im better off just making an appointment at the smaller embassy that does the crba/passport.
