What part of the process are you in? It would be easier for others in this group to help you if we had some details about where you are exactly in this process... :D

Pretty sure I did the timeline thing a few days ago, under Daniel and Aimee. Not sure how to get it into the siggy though, without retyping everything, I guess I could do that. If you have an easier method please tell me, or if I have incorrectly completed the timeline and I will. Having somebody to base yourself to is comforting.

The DS-260 is completed and we got an OK back with that, we are awaiting on the AOS which we had to resubmit as my wife made a mistake on the document.

When I click on your profile and view time line, it's not there... not everyone has a signature, and while it can be helpful it's not the end of the world LOL

What day was the AOS check list scanned in at NVC (this is probably going to be abour 2-4 days after it was physically received at their facility)?

5/21/2016: Mailed I-751 packet to CSC

5/23/2016: NOA1

According to my wife, when she rang the NVC up this was the 16th of June, as I said we originally sent the AOS package in April but had to correct an error. Bad mistake on our account, but a very harsh punishment..... still I will not complain.

P.S can you see the timeline now? If there is more you would like me to add, I will for other members.

Does calling the NVC really help? We have been waiting (and I know so many others have too) to get our IV invoice. It's been more than 8 weeks now. I've called twice but it didn't help. The people I talked to were nice, but they couldn't do anything for me. They said "30 business days is just a guideline" so I asked if it really meant anything at all. Bascially no. They just say that to appease people. So, would calling again really help? It costs us a bit of money to call from Serbia, and the irritation of it all. At this point I don't even know what to say.

Looks good to me!

It looks like the NVC document reviewers are working through packages they scanned in between June 16-19 (they work on a range of dates at any given time). It looks like it's taking 30 business days to review all documents. Whenever the AOS check list was scanned in, calculate 30 business days forward and that should hopefully be your case complete (assuming of course, the IV package has already been sent in and approved)! I would watch others' on this thread and when you see approvals start around the date yours was scanned in, start calling!

Hey guys i had one last question. My wife will be giving birth at the end of august and her interview is in september. Do you guys think i can apply for passport and birth abroad certificate the same day as her interview if i bring all required paperwork for the baby?or am i better off just making an appointment for the baby before the interview.

 Supersad today although no apparent reason. I guess waiting for a year and 3 months makes one that way. I bet we'll get a checklist too, just our luck.

I know I shouldn't complain, so I apologize. But am still going to cry a little bit :(

I think it's ok to complain once in a while, if it helps you feel better...

I just got a checklist, and was depressed about it at first... but then I stepped outside to bring in some laundry and looked back through the glass door to see my nine month old baby disolved into tears because I didn't take him with me... even though I was coming back in just a minute... that helped me to realize that I was being like him, that the delay was temporary, and sooner or later everything would be ok...

Seems like we all still have to go through the tears from time to time though.

Hope things go well for you...

I know how you feel, me and my wife have watched the months pass by, the seasons like in your siggy and it really has exhausted us mentally. It is fine to complain but remember what is at the finish line OK. Give your partner a call and just let it out.

Hi Saylin, I guess you are kind of busy today, hope you haven't forgot to open NVC filers-August 2014 thread.

She probably has to get home from the job she's actually paid to do before she has a chance to start the new thread...
