Spoke with NVC rep, IV package scanned in today. Was told the usual 30business days wait for it to be reviewed. {September 11}. I wish and hope it won't take that long to get a case complete. That means we are likely to have interview by November. But who knows.... Might be lucky to get an earlier date....{I wish}

You may get a late Oct interview depending on how busy your embassy is. That's what I'm hoping for. Fingers crossed! :thumbs:

I'd think reviewing the IV package should be faster than the AOS package since there is no application in the package. -_-

However, they still seem to take 30 business days (45 days) to review IV packages. <_<

I'm hoping that NVC will do the same as USCIS and that they are ramping up because of the backlog. We got really lucky at USCIS and hit Texas just as they seemed at a standstill, they ramped up operations and suddenly started going really fast and we were approved in just 4 months. I'm thinking that sometime tomorrow the NVC review times will start coming back down. (brainwashing myself) :)

I hope you're right and NVC hires more people tomorrow (Aug 1) and picks up speed! :star: Fingers crossed! :thumbs:

However, I noticed they now have new operators answering the phone. I hope they hire more reviewers! -_-

:wow::wow::wow::wow::wow:

And another :wow: for good measure. I can't believe how utterly screwed up every step of this process is.

After an hour spent at CBP Deferred Inspections he was told it should be all set, but we'll find out when we make our second attempt at the Social Security office on Tuesday.

The operators have probably been promoted, the new operators are now trained and the old operators will be reviewing files now!!! Of course I've been so super sweet to all of them that they'll probably immediately dig our file out of the dust and do our first!!!! Bwahahaha!!! Yours too of course. <_<

Yea I really hope and wish for October, I will request a earlier interview date once the case file is shipped to the embassy.

I also think IV package should be reviewed faster since there's no application in the package. But everything about NVC is 30business days or even more.

Well today is officially 30 working days for us, giving the NVC an extra 5 days to sort out the documents from when they arrived. So does anyone have a rough estimate of how long over the 30 days people are waiting? My wife and I already got a check list so this is nearly 3 months now for us. I would really like to spend Halloween with her in Salem........... gotta have dreams hey!

Thanks so much for your replies (sorry I can't multi quote on my phone)

His photos are 8 months old, guess that means I'll have to get out my camera and prepare myself for an evening of goofy faces trying to get one normal pic LOL

:cry: Supersad today although no apparent reason. I guess waiting for a year and 3 months makes one that way. I bet we'll get a checklist too, just our luck.

I know I shouldn't complain, so I apologize. But am still going to cry a little bit :(

IR1 took 520 days....
