So finally AOS shows N/A for my wife's case. Hope it is a case complete. Ripu is calling NVC to confirm. Ours has been a long journey at NVC. My case was completed on June 4th but my wife's case took so long as NVC lost her checklist email reply. Our case is processing electronically.

I got a checklist on July 28,2014 for my AOS package and I am quite confused really lol.

It says that I was missing pages but I SENT EVERYTHINGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!! I know the house hold part was going to be a problem because I realized I counted my husband TWICE. But I don't understand what the problem is with everything else. Someone help me please.

This is what I got, like I just want to be done with this process at this point I am super annoyed!

In Part 1. Basis for Filing Affidavit of Support, please correct the following...[x]

In Part 2. Information on the Principal Immigrant, please correct the following...[x]

In Part 3, Information on the Immigrant(s) You are sponsoring, please correct the following...[x]

In Part 4. Information on the Sponsor, please correct the following...[x]

In Part 5. Sponsors Household Size, please correct the following...[x]

In Part 6. Sponsors Income and Employment, please correct the following..

.[x] Item 13.a. You must include your ________2013__________________ tax and income information.

[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead.[x]

In Part 8, Sponsors Contract, please correct the following...[x]

The Form I-864 we received was missing the following page(s). Please ensure you include all nine pages when youresubmit the form.

Looks like your error is for question 13. You have to read between the lines to see what was wrong.

I guess this means VisaJourney is a gateway drug. That must make Saylin our "dealer". I picture her sitting behind her computer typing "The first one's free!". OMG I really am losing the plot! :goofy::rofl:

HAHAHAHA!:rofl::rofl: I've obviously been on this drug for 4 years now

I'm sure Saylin will close this thread prematurely after this rant. It's a good thing it's shutting down today anyway.

Let's start the new thread "clean"... shall we?

:rofl::rofl:

My husband has a shirt that says that EXACT line!!

Hi Saylin

Just wondering will there be an August NVC thread. Unfortunately - and I mean it in the nicest way - I will be on it!!

Yes, there will be, no worries! I'll be creating it once I get home from work later in about 10 hours. Or, if I have time once I get to work today, maybe I will ;)

Have a great girls weekend - what great medicine!

I used to live in Melbourne so I know there will be plenty to keep you occupied.

Concern about Singapore Certificate was that Singapore don't do anymore for non-Singapore Citizens. However you can appeal it. We sent the front cover of their website stating they don't do them to NVC. Other issue was IF you do need one you can appeal to Singapore but they would only send direct to NVC and then only do it on a checklist specifically asking for it. Anyway, I called Singapore last week. They have changed rules and now send to our home plus they will process it on the IV Cover Sheet. So .. I have applied but it will take about a month to get here. If I do need it I want to take it to the interview but NVC told me they would want to see it there. #######? With the 30 days to look at I could be looking at a CC in October and a December interview. That is just too depressing.

I think that since you attached the cover of the Singapore website stating they don't do them it will be fine. How can NVC expect you to comply with something that has changed in the time they are taking to process?! I understand your concern, but since NVC don't seem very "up with it" on most things, I doubt they will go by (or even know about) the new rules in Singapore ;)

I think if you have applied for one and have it in hand, they may be inclined to let you bring it to interview considering you have already have had a checklist? Who knows with NVC, but thinking positively has gotten me this far (nearly 14 months)

Stay strong, for your sanity, for your kids and for the beautiful life you have waiting in months to come across the Pacific. It WILL be worth it, even if the wait is unfair. xoxox

"For my AOS, all I sent was my employment verification letter, no pay stubs because mine are formatted really strangely. AOS was approved, no checklist, no problem. I would suggest just sending your employment verification letter so as not to confuse the *special* NVC doc reviewers.;) They can't handle much beyond 1+1=2. Or is it 6... they're never quite sure. "

Thank you for your reply. If you don't mind me asking, did you fill I864 or I864EZ and did you write N/A in the columns that were not applicable? I am debating between I864 and I864EZ, EZ seems simpler but I have noticed there are lot of checlists have been generated for EZ form.

Hi left.coast.love

I am with you. I also called NVC this morning and asked if they might review my IV with a scan date of June 20th with the AOS checklist that was scanned in July. What a silly question to ask. Of COURSE they will not do that. We have to wait another 30 business days although they are back logged so it might take longer.

I was just lost for words, said thank you and said Goodbye!

Aww, such a bummer! You´d think they would want to be done with us as much as we want to be rid of them!

Hi everybody!

I got a quick question for y'all. Yesterday i was able to submit the DS-261 and to pay the AOS fee. In Saylin´s wiki it says, that it usually takes up to (sorry to mention it) 30 BD  , until the IV bill will be invoiced. Well, as with me, it already says "Pay now" behind the IV Bill and it seems that even the DS-260 is ready to be worked on and submitted. Could that be? Could i just go for all of it right now, or should i rather wait, cause it will take us a little bit longer to mail off the AOS Pack and the IV Pack.

Any advise out there??? Thanks in advance :goofy:

Good morning everyone (as time zone applicable)

I posted this question last night, and haven't had any answer-- I'm pasting my confusions below to see if anyone has any ideas. Apologies to those offended by repeat posts. I;m on hold with NVC as I type.

This is regarding a checklist I got on my AOS yesterday... it doesn't make sense to me.

I have a joint sponsor (my dad) for my husband's visa, as I am self-employed and currently not making enough money to sponsor him alone. I filled out the I-864 for both of us, and my dad reviewed and signed his.

So, based on the checklist I can see that I made a silly mistake, and forgot for both of us to fill in part 6, item 10... I had left items 6, 7, 8, and 9 blank as they did not apply to us, and didn't notice, even with copious proofreading, that I still needed to write the amount from item 5 in item 10.

So it makes sense that I should get a checklist for both forms, mine and my dad's. Instead, I have two pages with my dad's name at the top. Both indicate that error. Both say:

The Form I-864 we received was missing the following page(s). Please ensure you include all nine pages when you resubmit the form.

One of them says :

You must submit the following financial evidence:
[x] Proof of current employment (examples: a recently dated job letter, pay stub, or a copy of your business license).

The other one says:

You must submit the following financial evidence: (left blank)

So now I am starting to doubt what they really want. At first I thought they just weren't bothering about my form because I'm below the income requirements anyway, and I was planning to fix it and send it back with my dad's in case. But now I am wondering if they made a typo sending two pages about my dad and none about me... And it makes me feel paranoid because I can't send any of the proof of employment stuff... I have it for my dad, but nothing equivalent for me.

Also, it says the last page of the later will have mailing instructions, and that's not true either, although there are some general statements on the cover sheet. Also, it says that I must write the case number clearly (exactly as it appears below) in the upper right hand corner of all documents. Have others done that? Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Well, you were faster replying and i was actually too afraid to click on it before posting :rolleyes: . Im not more lucky than anybody else here  Obviously it´s not shown available. Only the AOS fee is shown $88, which i already paid! And DS-261 is only available when IV bill was paid. K K K K K, i got it!!!;)

Sorry for confusing you, but it´s all so very exciting and looooong :clock:

Thanks anyways for enlighting me, LOL!!!
