Hey guys, how long does NVC takes to invoice AOS? Its been quite sometime since I got the case no but AOS is still not invoice. We are also waiting for receipt form NVC. Its getting so frustrated that, we are in the middle yet so far away. Any kind of information is greatly appreciated.

We just received an email from NVC with our case number and IIN. It took less than 30 business days without having to call once. I really think being patient and not tying them down with phone calls is the best way to go. Just my personal opinion, but Im planning to apply this method for the whole process and see how it goes. Has anyone else out there refrained from calling them at all for status updates? I understand

everyone is different though, so to each his own. Hoping the best for everyone.

The phones have nothing to do with the speed of document review. The agents on the phone read from a screen and are not the same people reviewing documents.

If you decide not to call, then your case may appear to move slower than others' as e-mails are not the quickest (and sometimes you might not get one).

I couldn't disagree more. For me, calling everyday gave me a huge peace of mind. I was able to get items removed from a checklist before I ever got an email about it. and I was able to send my husband to the city to get another birth certificate on a Friday instead of waiting until Monday. We saved alot of time. We only spent 2 months at the NVC and that included 2 checklists, about 4 supervisor reviews and several conversations with supervisors..

The NVC makes alot of mistakes! You have to babysit them if you want to get through without delay.

If you want to sit and wait for an email that may never come.... go right ahead, but I wouldn't suggest it..... But I really think calling OFTEN really helps . Calling everyday doesn't have any effect on your processing . So why not call and get updates and make sure there isn't anything weird happening?

BTW... my case only took 11 days to arrive from the TSC... case number assigned the same day.... Now, if I didn't call 3 times a day I would have wasted precious time. Everything in our case was completed within 9 days thanks to the people on this thread and the WIKI ( that I read at least 50 times) Our lawyer made a terrible mistake and I would have never known if I wasn't here reading all this awesome info...

I really didn't want to have to keep calling either and was planning the same strategy as you, hoping things would go smoothly, but I'm actually having to beg them to take our money now. We've had two supervisor reviews initiated after waiting over 40 business days for our IV invoice. It's gotten to the point where we've contacted my husband's state representative now because they just will not do anything with our case. You really do find you need to prompt them to do stuff sometimes. It's a shame, because everything else has gone really smoothly, no checklists or RFEs at any point. I really wish they'd be more transparent as to why they make us wait 41 business days (so far) but let the majority of people get their invoices within or just over 30. If there's a problem with our case, I'd like to know so we can fix it!

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

I just called NVC and found out that they approved my AOS package yesterday!

Well, I didn't receive a false checklist so it looks like some people receive false checklists while others don't.

I'm now waiting for them to review my IV package and DS-260. :clock: I'll just have to wait until Sept 5th (my 30th business day). :bonk:

I hope I don't get a checklist on my IV package. I reviewed it so many times! Fingers crossed!

When emailing NVC, how do I arrange the subject header so it is forwarded to a supervisor? Will "Attn: Supervisor" followed by my case number work, or do I need to specify a supervisor's name?

Yes. You can't compare your case to others in different countries. You need to focus specifically on those going through the exact same consulate/embassy as yourself.
