He might've been straight with you. There was a CC yesterday for a June 16 scanner. I'm a June 13th and still no word yet. That would be their range of reviews for this week.

Ds261 completed on 15/6/14
Ds261 scanned on 17/6/14
AOV fees paid on 17/6/14.
AOS package sent 19/6/14
Nvc receive AOS package on 24/6/14
Nvc scan AOS 27/6/14

IV Fees paid on 12/7/14
Ds260 competed on 16/7/14
IV package sent on 17/7/14.
Nvc receive IV package on 21/7/14
Nvc scan IV 23/7/14


And i get nothing from NVC till nw
Last time was 11/7/2014
Till when i have to wait ???

Get Congressman or Senator involved. Two months to "process" DS 261--what is that anyway? Who needs to process an electronic form?

I just got off a call with NVC. It's been 40 business days now since they received our DS-261. I spoke with a Hispanic agent who initially put me on hold with a supervisor, but brought me back off hold because the supervisor wouldn't talk to me! Apparently we need to wait longer because they're behind! Why are other people getting invoiced when they submitted the DS-261 mid-June? We submitted it on May 30th! The agent said she'd put it forward for another supervisor review, but it's not like the first one got us anywhere, so...

I can confirm though that our AOS was accepted and we didn't write N/A in any blank spaces and for the "address if different" field, we repeated my husband's address.

It really does boggle the mind. I can't think of one other bureaucratic entity that sends people to the back of the line after they've already waited their turn.

My I-130 was approved last week and I just received the NOA2 hardcopy. I got really confused after reading this statement on the approval notice:

If the person for whom you are petitioning decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the United States based on this petition, the petitioner should file Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, to request that we send the petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC).

I am the petitioner and I live overseas with my husband. So does this mean that I need to file Form I-824 in order to have my petition sent to NVC?

No, you need to call USCIS, speak to a supervisor and ensure your petition will be sent to NVC. That form costs many hundreds of dollars and you don't need to file it. It's a mistake on the part of USCIS who assume you're already in the US trying to adjust status.

Ok so I needed to fix the AOS packet. I am filing out my cosponsors(mom) I864 and I am hoping for some help.

On part 6: Where is ask for my moms income does it want her income off of her W2 and for people in her household(my dad) do we put his income from his W2. Because when placing what they each made and after when adding it and putting it in line 10, it was a different number than i put on 13a. under total income. Can someone please help me with this I am giving myself a major headache trying to figure this out!

P6Q5 is asking about CURRENT income. This isn't based on any tax information, but rather an employment letter and pay stubs. It will more than likely be a different answer than on question 13 as that's based on previous years' tax information.

I got NOA1 on 9th july and my case was sent to NVC, I am still awaiting case number and IIN (I call every day for an update - surely they'll get fed up of me soon and give me a case number just to shut me up!!!).

Is there anything that I can be doing whilst I am waiting for my case number - such a long waiting game!
