Our POE will be in Minneapolis, that airport is almost never crowded. And now that I've just jinxed myself it will take all day!

VJers might want to consider arrival time as a POE selection factor. The flight I always take lands at Dulles at 6:30 am. First and only inbound international flight at that time. We're usually out of the customs hall before the last baggage comes out on the moving belt.

Good tip. I also read somewhere that usually 8AM is the shift change time. Around that time may be you will get someone at beginning of shift and less cranky.

called NVC to check for updates.. finally someone told me my case is under review.. last friday called, the operator asked me to wait 60 business days...but today the operator told me the last package rec'd was july 3rd and should get any response within 30 business days.. so I asked about that 60 business days thing, he said he's never heard of 60 days, at least he didn't think it would take 60 business days. most people take about 25-30 business days... hope he was right..

I just got off a call with NVC. It's been 40 business days now since they received our DS-261. I spoke with a Hispanic agent who initially put me on hold with a supervisor, but brought me back off hold because the supervisor wouldn't talk to me! Apparently we need to wait longer because they're behind! Why are other people getting invoiced when they submitted the DS-261 mid-June? We submitted it on May 30th! The agent said she'd put it forward for another supervisor review, but it's not like the first one got us anywhere, so...

I can confirm though that our AOS was accepted and we didn't write N/A in any blank spaces and for the "address if different" field, we repeated my husband's address.

Ok so I needed to fix the AOS packet. I am filing out my cosponsors(mom) I864 and I am hoping for some help.

On part 6: Where is ask for my moms income does it want her income off of her W2 and for people in her household(my dad) do we put his income from his W2. Because when placing what they each made and after when adding it and putting it in line 10, it was a different number than i put on 13a. under total income. Can someone please help me with this I am giving myself a major headache trying to figure this out!

my lawyer made the same mistake but I caught it and sent in a corrected AOS immediately. I saved myself a month. Lawyers suck. I was so mad. After that I did everything myself.

Our lawyer made EXACTLY the same mistake. Clearly a waste of $5,000!!! But we all suffer more while we wait another 30 business days to review the checklist.

My husband called NVC yesterday, he is not sure but hes saying his name was Gus..he spoke very nicely and said that your case is currently under review, there are small details left and so far things look great..and u will hear good news this week, if you dont hear from us, call us on coming monday..

But we have crossed 30 business days already ?? .. I dont know if he really meant what he was saying or if he was jus being polite !!!

He might've been straight with you. There was a CC yesterday for a June 16 scanner. I'm a June 13th and still no word yet. That would be their range of reviews for this week.
