NVC Filers - July 2014

I got a checklist for the same thing. My lawyer took the total adjusted gross income and put it on my paperwork. You can only do this if you file a 1040EZ form to the IRS. I filed a regular 1040 and was supposed to put total income only. Losing a whole month because of it. Its ridiculous!

my lawyer made the same mistake but I caught it and sent in a corrected AOS immediately. I saved myself a month. Lawyers suck. I was so mad. After that I did everything myself.

Congrats! Good news! When did NVC accept your AOS package? Did you get a false checklist?

Aos was scanned June 13th. I guess my AOS was approved yesterday or today because as at YESTERDAY MORNING when my hubby called, he was told it hasn't been reviewed yet. No, I didn't receive any false checklist.

I'm a little confused, though. In your signature, it says that your AOS package was scanned in on July 13...should that be June 13?

NVC seems to be reviewing around 28-30+ days.

The POE at Phx is horrible!!! I've had friends take half a day to get through that queue!!

Our POE will be in Minneapolis, that airport is almost never crowded. And now that I've just jinxed myself it will take all day!

I hope it's quiet for you! We're going to do the Orlando Sanford airport, as it's about 20-30 mins away from her sister and we won't have to deal with the busy Orlando International airport.

Yep, My lady will be coming through Phx. I learned a long time ago not to pick up non-resident friends at the airport coming in internationally. Last time I flew in from the UK there were well over a hundred people in that line and only one CO. I almost felt bad breezing though the US line in about 30 minutes and in that time barely a handful were helped. I've heard from all of my international friends that PHX is the worst POE in the US that they've come into.

I am so far from worrying about my husband's POE (seems like it will be 2016 before it comes to that) but it will be Miami. That has got to take the cake for worst POE EVER. That place is an absolute disaster. Last time I was there the baggage stopped coming out for 3 hours, while thousands of us were stranded in the basement. The only think going around the claims was a suuuuper sketchy black plastic bag...
