Today marks 37 business days since NVC received our DS-261. I thought it was 36, but the business day calendar online has been automatically set to Argentina this whole time and I didn't notice. Oops. We've been "under review" for more than a week now. I've already spoken to a supervisor (complete waste of my time). There's nothing else to be done but wait. ####.

Change of address e-mail received at 3 a.m. Status changed back to initial review on e-mail and online. Date of "last updated" now April 18. Called and spoke to two Tier 2 reps; both were useless.

April 21, 2014: Approval confirmed verbally by Tier 2 rep. Order put in to send second NOA2 hard copy to new address. Instructed to ignore online case status.

April 25 or 26, 2014: NOA1 hard copy arrives to old apartment in Bogotá. Priority date actually April 1. (April 3 was the notice date.)

May 16: USCIS change of address e-mail received

May 19: USCIS e-mail received saying a duplicate notice was mailed on this date. Case status now set to "Acceptance."

We're still waiting on the IV invoice. Super annoying! And I'm doing my usual freak-out over visiting the US with this stupid thing pending (yeah I know I'll 99.9% be fine, but still :P). Stupid stupid STUPID!!!

Which supervisor did you speak to? We got Sue and she was of no use.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I just now called NVC I did not wait much time. only 18 minutes. Got a lady and did not catch the name. My DS261 was received on 6/11 and 30 business days is over on 7/25. I mentioned that 30 business days is over and she said they have some issues with their web site. She said she will send my case to a supervisor to review it. I asked for any date that I can get it done. She said she cannot say any date.

My wife's and step daughter's DS261 was originally submitted on 6/4. My wife's one was accepted on 6/18, but my daughters was resubmitted and accepted on 6/11 (after seeing incomplete), But I am still waiting for my step daughters DS 261 to be accepted so that I can pay IV bill.

Sorry Saylin. I could not fill the XL sheet with the times because, I cannot open from the office computer the XL sheet. I am so busy taking care of the kids. No time to open my own computer at home.

Regards

Kutty

The "Yoda Sheet 2.0", as it's been dubbed, isn't actually "available" at the moment. It was just an idea and not sure if I'll still use it or not as some people said that the original is sufficient. Soooo...

Haha, I'd like to, but people will need to fill out a new request form, and actually fill it out with all the dates.

If the current request form is any indication, I'm going to have even more problems :bonk:

I don't know. My heart was pounding and I was trying not to jumble my words as I always do once I finally get to talk to a human, so her name went in one ear and out the other. Sorry. :( But yeah, she said exactly what the phone operator said-- it is under review, but they can't even give me a prediction of when it will finally become available, that they're really busy, and that's it.

So sorry that you are still waiting, I cannot believe it :(

It's okay, I feel bad for the people who had to deal with the USCIS backlog and are now dealing with the NVC one. We at least had great luck with USCIS.

So AustinCanada…a question --- You are doing regular mail process…but haven't they approved your AOS package already? Wow they are taking a long time.

So in 30 business days of each package (hopefully) you will find out if the package is complete or you get a checklist right? This means your AOS package should be pretty close to 30 business days, right? And the IV package will be sometime in end of august, if we follow the "regular" timeline of 30 business days.

I just called NVC. I was on hold for only 12 minutes! :wow:

I talked to Lisa (she was nice!) and she told me that they scanned my IV package on Friday. It arrived at NVC on Tuesday so they're scanning packages in 3 business days now. It took them 4 business days to scan my AOS package so they're scanning packages faster.

Now, all I have to do is wait until a CC (or checklist)! I can relax a little bit and enjoy the summer.

Sorry about the IV bill thing.

Please don't say "will be" as you make it sound like it's 100% chance. It is ALWAYS up to the customs officer to let you in or not. Although chances are high for those visiting from Canada and VWP countries, there will never be a 100% guarantee of being let in. I'm proof, was denied twice at the border :P

I like the idea of issuing check lists. Maybe with a nice message attached?

*quietly laughs at work*

I'll create another account here, maybe called SaylinChecklist (?), and just issue "checklists" (aka PMs) from there. I'd do it from this account, but my inbox is already at like 80% full

I can even format it slightly to NVC's checklists :rofl:

Oh geez, those NVC check lists read like stereo instructions!

I'll pretend that my photo will be attached to all check lists, too! :goofy:

Don't worry, I was planning on saving that photo when I got home and include it in the "checklist". If you want the checklist to sound better, haha, you can always write up a format for me to use ;)
