Where did you see that at? Is the National Visa Center operated through tax payers' dollars? I thought that section of the DoS was fee based funded.

nonchalant conversation, pretty much quoted. The point I was trying to make is that she was conveying to me that they were slammed and trying to get some help in.

Hello all,

I am trying to call NVC. But it's not connecting. It is not working. I called this number : 603-334-0700 , which is correct. I just want to know whether my case is being delivered or not. Is there any other number too for inquiry ?

Thanks.

That's the right number. They don't have enough lines in to handle their incoming call load. You need to keep redialing until you get connected. When they first open, you can usually get through in 5 or 10 quick redials. Later in the day, it becomes an exercise of faith and patience sometimes taking 30 minutes of speed redialing. Once connected, hold times vary. It's usually between 20 and 50 minutes.

Good luck.

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

This is just not right, I guess it will take them another 30business days to review the payment email proof. This is really annoying. They didn't tell my husband that ####. Because if our IV bill wasn't paid, DS-260 won't have unlocked for us. We have filled and submitted DS-260 so they better get themselves to work and fix the problem. Has NVC started experiencing the glitch that was publicized last week? Am calling NVC again.

Please do keep me posted. The last time I checked the portal was last Friday where I was able to fill out 4 pages from my DS260. Then when I checked yesterday, Boom! It's back to IN PROCESS status. I'm really hoping that this is not their strategy so that they can delay our cases and work on those that needs review. My gosh! It seems that every step that we take here has a corresponding issue. Praying that they will have this resolved.

My husband and I arrived this morning at 6:30...4 hours later we were approved! 13 months of waiting, wondering, sometimes doubting. Happy tears today. Thank you all for your cotinued support and now we go into the process of waiting of the actual visa. We did opt for DomEx pickup, and were told not to call until a week from today. So even with the glitch, there still is hope!

Our immigration officer was very kind. She asked about our interests and how I felt the first time I visited. We shared our photos and she asked about how in the future Lorenzo's son would play into things. She certainly put our nerves at ease.

On a side note, after finally receiving our interview date, had returned to the Catholic Church. My faith was tested many times during this process. I will keep attending and keep praying, because really only the first journey has ended...the new one begins now!

Called NVC today. My case has not been reviewed yet (last scan date was June 13th). Rep claimed I need to submit AOS and IV application, even though I'm exempt from the former and submitted the latter on June 6th. When I pointed that to him he backtracked and said I don't need to do anything except wait until the case review is completed (as if it had been started to begin with!). As bdrew612 said, don't believe anything they say unless it's a CC.

Call was relatively quick for a Monday morning. Linked up after the third redial at 10:03 am and got a live operator by 10:22.

Sorry to hear that. Looks like they're pulling a USCIS. Going out of date order. *Shudders* Still no update on ours.. "Under review" even though it was under review on Friday too. You tell them it's over 30 business days and they tell you it's taking longer than 30 business days, but won't give you any timescales.

I am applicant of my case. So i can call or only petitioner (my wife) can call and ask NVC ?

Thanks.

You can call. Just have your case number, beneficiary and petitioners name and DOB ready.

Congratulations! This goes to show that prayer is a lot of help. Especially during these trying times.

Sounds like NVC is having some issues

I just now called NVC I did not wait much time. only 18 minutes. Got a lady and did not catch the name. My DS261 was received on 6/11 and 30 business days is over on 7/25. I mentioned that 30 business days is over and she said they have some issues with their web site. She said she will send my case to a supervisor to review it. I asked for any date that I can get it done. She said she cannot say any date.

My wife's and step daughter's DS261 was originally submitted on 6/4. My wife's one was accepted on 6/18, but my daughters was resubmitted and accepted on 6/11 (after seeing incomplete), But I am still waiting for my step daughters DS 261 to be accepted so that I can pay IV bill.

Sorry Saylin. I could not fill the XL sheet with the times because, I cannot open from the office computer the XL sheet. I am so busy taking care of the kids. No time to open my own computer at home.

Regards

Kutty

I just called NVC. I was on hold for only 12 minutes! :wow:

I talked to Lisa (she was nice!) and she told me that they scanned my IV package on Friday. It arrived at NVC on Tuesday so they're scanning packages in 3 business days now. It took them 4 business days to scan my AOS package so they're scanning packages faster.

Now, all I have to do is wait until a CC (or checklist)! I can relax a little bit and enjoy the summer.
