I don't actually know my scan date, but my checklist was received June 16th. My guess is that it was scanned by about June 20th?...

I just was totally over calling NVC, so I thought I would wait until more people start getting CC with scan dates around when mine was received (which hopefully will be this week) and then I will keep an eye on CEAC for the N/A AOS fee and if nothing changes I will call at the end of the week.

So you should be about 4/5 days behind us... Thursday or Friday.

I can't even bring myself to call NVC to actually hear CC. I think i'm just going to wait for the email.

Here's hoping for your cc this week!

I just don't understand NVC anymore, do they want to stress the life out of us???? I paid IV bill on wednesday July 23, status showed PAID on July 24 and I filled and submitted the DS-260. I checked ceac.state.gov now and my IV status changed from PAID to IN PROCESS. What the heck is going on??? What do I do now????

U r the third person who reported this in a day on this thread. I think the Nvc maybe working on ceac portal. I just checked mine as well and it still shows paid thank God. But I m sure it's just a glitch. Don't stress about it. Call them Monday to ask what's going on.

can anyone help me with this situation?

our last document scanned on June 20, 2014. So if the 30 business days blah blah is correct, this week or probably next week, we will got our case complete. but then, my husband moved last week. is it advisable to update the nvc for the new address? and how about the ds260? the address there was the old one.

What I think is that u should wait till the interview and mention at that time since ur ds260 is already submitted. Or maybe just take the updated I-864 to the interview. But let's see what the experts say :)

Yes I have! I called three weeks ago. The lady on the phone told me to wait two more weeks. I asked her and what if nothing happens by then, when I call back then will you be able to do something. She then told me again wait two weeks and call back. I am nervous to call because I do have a bit of a temper and I am fed up with this wait. I tried calling on friday when I was off work and during my breaks, but I never got threw. I know Mondays are buy too, but I will try. Any suggestions on if I should ask for someone higher up? And will they actually be able to do anything or are they just going to tell me another two weeks. Thats why I havent called because I really dont want to be on the phone for more than an hour and get told just to wait two weeks. If they do something I would be amazed, but i doubt it.

I know red really frustrating to call but I think u NEED to call ASAP. Talk to the supervisor and if they say wait more u tell them u have waited long enough. I think the call will bring a change. Good Luck!

P.s. Are u sure the ds261 was not resubmitted by u or ur spouse by mistake?

Yea I'll call them when they open on Monday. This is happening to me, Shaujhe and Yamil. The 3 of us got the bill on July 21 but couldn't pay until July 23. I really hope they resolve whatever they are working on, on ceac portal.

Called the NVC this morning to check in, yeah i know its early and anticipated the answer I got...too early, wait my 6 weeks until Aug 26...which is 5 days before our first anniversary :ranting:

...but I did catch this...

"unless they approve the proposal to hire more workers or authorize for additional overtime"

NVC is slammed. Not sure if DoS will have the funding for above, but it would be nice. The new hires won't help for some time due to training and such, but OT could help in the short term and move some things forward a bit. Probably just wishful thinking on my part. The funny thing is (after having worked for many Federal Agencies in DC) that around the end of August/September time frame they see the have money that has to be spent because if they have any leftover at the end of fiscal year, they get less the following year. So everyone runs around getting quotes and writing contracts before the end of October to make sure all of their budget for that years is utilized/spent.

Where did you see that at? Is the National Visa Center operated through tax payers' dollars? I thought that section of the DoS was fee based funded.

Spoke with NVC rep and she said its 30business days today because AOS was scanned june 13th but the review date started counting from June 16, said I should call back in few days probabaly Wednesday to get update.

Also spoke about my IV bill changing from PAID to IN PROCESS, she said it will be updated back to PAID. {She sounded like she doesn't know what she's saying/doing/not aware of the system}. Hopefully will call back later in the evening if the website does not change, hoping to speak with a reasonable NVC rep. Shaujhe and Yamil any updates or news from NVC rep about your IV bill status?

Please remember, your case isn't sent to the embassy/consulate until a day or so AFTER your interview date is assigned.
