Unless they've changed things, they ask for the last 10 years employment. But, I filled it out back in 2011, soooo

We made a mistake and only entered 6 years of employment . My plan was to correct that during the interview.... You know what??? They didn't even care. They didn't even ask for the confirmation sheet. The embassy was too busy asking my husband what my favorite food is and what kind of car I drive. seriously....

Don't stress over that form. Fill in as much as they ask for. but it isn't a big deal... they are mostly worried about the terrorist and trafficking questions

How are you still there????? I swear I hate this process....... It sucks you have to wait til Monday...... I know that feeling all too well... CONGRATS !!

Tico Love,

It's a shocker isn't it... words can't describe this process... it really does your head in.

I remember the agony of your USCIS wait...

There seems to be no equality and fairness with regards to timing.

Anyway, next step. Onward and upward.

Many thanks for your support and kind words. :)

I was wondering something. On my online DS260 I answered I was going to retire for the question about what kind of work I intend on doing when living in USA. I'll be collecting an indexed company pension after working almost 29 years at my job. I'm thinking maybe I should have put a copy of my yearly pension statement in with the I-864 we sent in. It's income I don't have til I retire so there was no where to enter it. When I eventually get my interview would it be a good idea to take my pension statement to show the consular officer? I don't want to mail anymore documents of any kind to the NVC for fear of getting put back yet another 30 days.

NVC could care less about your pension as the beneficiary. They're only concerned with the petitioner (and fellow sponsors, if applicable) and them being able to sponsor you. They don't care about the beneficiary's income. You can bring that stuff with you to the interview, but I don't see them asking it of you.

Hi July NVC'ers,

So last week we got a checklist saying that we must submit a DS-260 application! Since we had submited it way back on June 3, we called NVC immediately to figure out what was going on. When we spoke with the representative, they checked and said, "Oh yeah, you did submit it"! At first she started to mention the 30 business day line for the review, but when I started to go crazy, she said they would move it to supervisor review, and expedite it, since our lawyer had in fact submitted it way over 30 business days ago, and we have the Confirmation of submission! Apparently, our AOS and IV packages have been accepted, so this silly mix up with the DS-260 is the only thing holding us up from CC...

We called back on Thursday last week, and they said to "just wait a few more days". Has anyone else had an experience where they totally missed the DS-260 online submittal, and should we trust them that they're really expediting this review since it was their fault!? :ranting:

This one really takes the cake !!!!

NVC's rampant apathy and inconsistency of late is bordering on the criminal.

I guess I'll take it even if it doesn't matter. Like they say, better too much than not enough
