Hi!

Hope everyone is doing great and things are moving along for all of you. I have a quick question. I did not front load our I-130 petition as we have a pretty straight forward case and my husband is from Canada which is not considered a high fraud country. We will be sending our IV package within the next week or so and my question is, should we send additional supporting evidence with the IV package or should we just bring it to the interview.

Thanks for your help!!!

Nope, not needed for Montreal! And you likely won't be asked for evidence at the interview either (but still bring it along, just in case).

Hi! And thank you for your answer!

She has been woking before, like mid-time during studies but I think she was under poverty guidelines but she filed her federal tax refund tho. She's done with studies since last year and started to work in October 2013 for this firm. She makes 40K a year for a household of... only her. lol

So she's above the poverty guidelines.

But as you say it may not be strong enough. And that makes me worried.

What were her tax amounts for 2011, 2012, and 2013?

I went through all my emails to locate all the correct dates, added them in signature, soon ill put them up in timeline aswell

Thank you saylin :):)

Glad you got the signature up  Now please take the two minutes it'll take to put all those dates in your timeline.

IS it possible to pay the AOS and IV fee at the same time???

Also, Can I send the AOS packet and IV packet at the same time??

If you have a lawyer, then both fees will be invoiced at the same time. If not, then the IV will be invoiced about 30 days after the DS-261 is submitted. So, if you want to wait around 30 days to pay the AOS and IV at the same time, that's up to you.

Yes, you can send the two packages together, but I wouldn't recommend it. There's currently a 30 day difference between the AOS and IV tracks at the moment, so unless your AOS package isn't ready, you'll be waiting 30 days to send it. And it'd be best to send it off right away in case you receive a checklist.

Saylin! If you are here, I just wanted to say thank you, you helped us several times with Qs, and today we got approved at the embassy here in london! So excited! Once I get back on a proper comp I will update my timeline with his story:)

I'm always here

And yay, HUGE CONGRATS!!!!!!! :dance::dance::dance:

:(, i am June 2nd, I was really hoping they hit June this week ....

Are they still scheduling London interviews for August?

I doubt it. Bdrew's London interview was scheduled last week sometime, if I remember correctly, for the very end of August.

Round 1 of interviews was wrapped up last week. There's only 1 more UK person in the interview thread, she got her CC last week and hasn't received her interview date this week. AND the London Embassy was unexpectedly closed yesterday so all those cancelled interviews need re-scheduled (I'm sure they'll be shuffled around for another July date).

The interviews do not seem to be scheduled in a 'first in, first out' method and the NVC Agent said our PD makes no difference in scheduling 'they put us where they can fit us'. I take that with a grain of salt as I'm sure the phone Agents don't actually know the specifics with scheduling. The fact is, I got scheduled on their first day of August scheduling and got put on the last business day of the month!

I don't know if August is realistic at this time if you don't have a CC yet. :-(

Not moving up, just one of the requirements

Hey, in my book, you must be doing something right if the training wheels are coming off.

It's no longer a big deal to get a checklist on the AOS package since it now takes 30 days to pay the IV fee. That's one "positive" thing about not being able to pay the IV fee for 30 days.

If you get a checklist, you can send your checklist document and IV package at the same time.

Of course, it's better not to receive a checklist on the AOS package, but my point is it won't delay your application process that much assuming you send your AOS package as soon as you can pay the fee. :)

Very good point Austin. Yet a sad fact about NVC nowadays :clock:

Sounds like an NVC phone agent lurking undercover here. Which one are you? Arthur or Joey? 'Fess up!

Darn you MoBar, you have blown my cover! :ranting: Time to create a new VJ profile

Good to see your analysis but I am guessing they are not that orderly. I am not even checking my status anymore..no movement for me. I called the night before and was hoping for some good news on at least one of the packets but none, it is waiting to be reviewed and it will take 30 business days excluding holidays.

Hello everyone,

So i got my Case number assigned, FINALLY. One step closer.

I had a question about Electronic processing versus traditional courier of paperwork for NVC stage. I have read Saylin's wiki page about EP or regular mail method. I wanted to know if i enroll for the EP process, does one have to wait for the confirmation email from NVC and then only send the AOS and IV packet? Or can one send it before without any repercussions?

I had seen cases in May/June, where some people had signed up for EP and sent their paperwork (AOS etc) and then were asked to send again after they got confirmation email that they are enrolled.

Any advice or suggestion would be helpful. Thank you.

You'll soon realize there is no need to be excited about this, as we now have to wait for an email from NVC before we can log in to the CEAC to do the ds-261. Some have been waiting for 3 weeks after getting their case number. :-(
