I would bet that they are told not to say anything about it... It would cause the phones to go crazy.

I called 3 times a day while I was at the NVC. If I were still there, I'd be calling 5 times. I don't trust anyone there. I think its disgusting that they haven't done anything to take care of the backlog. What good is a 5 month approval from the USCIS if you end up waiting 5 more months at the NVC and then another month to 6 weeks waiting for your interview???? I can't stand reading this thread anymore. Its really depressing. I did my 11 months at the USCIS and 2 months at the NVC. Thank god I missed the big backlog at the NVC. I don't think I could handle 2 backlogs..... waiting for the waiver is bad enough.

Good Luck to all who are stuck at the NVC right now...

Ur interview is done? I missed u!! I think u are bored from the waiver thread so came back to give us company :D yes it's so depressing and disgusting this back log is!!! I wish I would have been done too! 10.5 months and Uscis and now 3 months already and not a single package reviewed. I m sure we are looking at another couple months atleast without the checklist. This is just so frustrated. U guys went out of it just in time!

... You're kidding, right?

I am serious.

They denied her to waive checklist also.. ( Reason : others didn't get checklist for writing as N/A than why I got it :ranting: )

It was I-864EZ form.

possibly due to hiring new people to handle the backlog???? Maybe???? because others have gotten checklist for the exact opposite. I put NA in every single blank space and mine was fine... I hope they get their rules straight...

Omg!!! If they give us a checklist for this my husband is going to KILL me!!! I made him write NA at every single thing although he was saying that this is the most retarded arguement ever! Oh please dear God save me.

I follow the waiver groups on Facebook. Quite a nasty group of know-it-alls but I really just hang out to watch the approvals

Yep, 11 months at the USCIS was enough of a back log for me. I would have been out of NVC in 30 days if they didn't checklist me for the stupid birth cert.. I like to follow along here and help if I can but some posts are just too much. It makes me want to stay away. I am still routing for you !!!

if they checklist you, Fight it !! Tell them you were told by another agent to put NA in the blanks and get a supervisor on the phone. That is the dumbest reason to checklist someone. Unless they are looking for reasons to slow things down... who knows !!

Breaking News: NVC gave checklist to my Friend for writing N/A in I-864 form.. She called and they said her to leave blank space as mentioned in Instructions.

They are making All Loved one Frustrated now.

I hope others don't get this kind checklists.

...oh...oh my god... I just... *floats off rambling in confusion and dismay*

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I put "same as mailing address" for that part if that helps anyone... looks like it's turning out to be a difficult question

Lol I literally repeated the address word for word. If that's wrong, then I don't know what to write. I can imagine them sending mail and writing on the envelope "same as mailing address" then getting confused when it comes back as undeliverable

Ok, must be the AOS your talking about, send a corrected one out as soon as possible with the Bar Code you can re-print it out and you should be fine. Don't wait to long send it Monday morning as early as you can. Good luck since it's two teams that check the AOS and IV I would think they most likely would be reviewed a few days after the other if you send the corrected one right away. :) Good luck to you.

I am QUITE sure people can read and if they know the answer they will post... You don't need to be the VJ police.

Ok but maybe he didnt know what a "wiki" was....some ppl are new here and may not be familiar with all of the terminology or maybe just getting familiar with the lingo used in the post. And I too know how it feels to be new and not really knowing a lot.

Marriage: 12/10/2013

NOA1: 1/30/14
NOA2: 6/10/14
Email that it was shipped to nvc: 6/23/14
Received by NVC: 7/1/14
Case#/IID# assigned: 7/16/14
Received/Submitted DS-261: 7/29/14
Paid AOS fee: 7/30/14
Sent AOS packet: 8/1/14

Received and paid IV Fee: 9/8/14 (fee showing paid / DS-260 available 9/9/14)
Submitted DS-260: 9/11/14
Sent IV packet: 9/24/14
NVC Received 9/26/14

Arrived in US: 3/8/14

STILL HAPPY AND NORMAL AS OF 8/4/2016!!

AOS Approved per phone: 10/22/14
*Received what I thought was a false checklist on this date as well*

*Problems: Called on 10/27/14 11/5/14 and 11/20/14 just to be proactive On all of these dates except the last, NVC kept telling me that my IV document probably hadn't been reviewed yet. On 11/20 the representative told me that the BC needed to be inextensa and the marriage license. True enough I had sent an extracto. But requested a supervisor review bc I knew the marriage lic was inextensa. 2 days later called again and got the same supervisor who told me that the marriage lic needed the proper signed legalizada (sticker on the back)

Sent necessary documents/Received: 11/20/14 and 11/26/14

Called 12/15/14: got Arthur....after he checked and verbally spanked he sent me to supervisor Silvia who said she would pull my file and try to figure it out.

Case complete: 12/19/14 Sylvia called and left a voicemail, called and confirmed later that night and status changed to N/A.

Thank you so much Sylvia. May God bless you and your family.

Appointment date and time received: 12/27/14

Hahahaaa I had Nachos for the first time 7 years ago and wow I love them, rarely have them but wouldn't mind making it an every day thing. ;)

I can only imagine how busy you all are just enjoying life and getting used to things and new discoveries. Great memories are being made. (L)

Awww they look so perfect in the library and shows how smart he is to. :)

Missed you to my dear friend but I know things thank God in heaven are different now as it should be. I want to thank you and your beautiful familyfor keeping me/us in your prayers it means the universe to me. I'll so need it now more than ever since like the rest still waiting are now waitingeven longer. God has to have his reasons but for the life of me I just can't conceive of one. Thank you again for your most needed prayers. :)

(F)(L)(F)

I have been moved to tears as I have read the thread of late and seen the processing times increase so dramatically.

This life seems to be a probationary period where we get to make many choices each day. They all register in our heart.

Then one day when we step out of time into eternity we will be truly glad for each expression of faith in God during our life journey.

Breaking News: NVC gave checklist to my Friend for writing N/A in I-864 form.. She called and they said her to leave blank space as mentioned in Instructions.

They are making All Loved one Frustrated now.

I hope others don't get this kind checklists.

omg that is just too much. I think that everyone on here that got a checklist for leaving the address part blank should send your friend a copy of their checklist and then your friend should take it all to their senator/congressperson. That's absolutely ridiculous.
