How do you work out the average time from CC to interview? Especially for my consulate, Malaysia? There is no one in there from Malaysia

Go here, and filter by country:

Then, look closely at the last 5 or so timelines and average from cc to inteview.

If i recall correctly, the average I got for KL embassy was 34 days.

But this link says 50 days!

Thanks dear! I don't know how you got 34 days though... The cases on there are from so long ago anyway... I hope it's not 50 days! I mean there aren't that many cases in Malaysia anyway...

It is entirely possible my memory is marred by AOs paperwork figures in my head

Yeah, the old cases are really old. I omitted outliers (e.g. An expedite) and averaged days from cc to interview. It was rough. Honestly I see no reason the embassy here should be longer than 30 days! But they did not ask me

I just copied this spreadsheet:

and deleted every country other than Australia. Although, I don't know how accurate this method is, because obviously not everyone being interviewed in Australia is a) on Visa Journey or b) adding their info to their timeline or the spread sheet

But it makes me feel better knowing an "approximate" time frame

When you get cc and a date, Joanna, maybe you can email the embassy to see if they'll allow an earlier date

Its a little tricky, go to your profile. You won't see signature. Pressed edit profile than you will see signature and simply add the info you want to add.

If you send tax transcripts than you don't have to send tax returns. For 2013 if you don't have tax transcripts yet than you should send tax return. This is what I did. You download tax transcripts from IRS website right away.

Submitted DS 260 and I won't click on COMPLETED as long as that get approved, as i have strong experience in resubmitted of DS 261.. ;-)

I though you couldn't change DS-260, once submitted, even if you wanted to.

Question to all: Anyone got delayed by looking into a submitted DS-260?

For that matter, was the delay incurred when just looking into DS-261, or when the submit button was actually clicked?

Saylin! If you are here, I just wanted to say thank you, you helped us several times with Qs, and today we got approved at the embassy here in london! So excited! Once I get back on a proper comp I will update my timeline with his story:)
