Did you call to NVC that it is already past 30 business days...

Yes, my wife called yesterday evening and was told that it is taking more than 30 business days to review. The agent said that June 11th document will be reviewed shortly. We do not want to go for the supervisor review as it did not help earlier and delayed the process as my wife waited for a few days to resend the checklist reply hoping that the supervisor would trace her email of April 30th.

I'm doing EP, and I just called NVC. This is the 1st time I've heard about this....

The operator said "as I only can see what days we rec'd your documents (6/27, 7/1, 7/2), they are going to review it AFTER 30 days from the dates they received the documents, which means your documents are not under review yet, they should START reviewing them next months, once received and count another 30 business days"

Ummm i thought WITHIN 30 BUSINESS DAYS supposedly? So i guess she means total 60 business days which is nearly 80 calender days.......#######!! :sleepy::sleepy::sleepy::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting: is she insane?

Yes, I think they are insane.. It is frustrating and they don't know what are the contents. Snail mail seems to a better choice. Some VJers were lucky as their files were reviewed faster than usual 30 business days.

No. I think they are still at June 11th-13th documents. I had another document that was scanned on June 11th. Perhaps they reviewed both when they opened my first checklist for N/A in 864ez.

First off, please read the first post about posting just ONCE and WAITING.

To answer your question, that sounds like tuition money to me, which should be used solely for educational purposes. I doubt it'd be allowed to be considered as income.

When'd did you email your first and last email?

First email AOS 5/20, got checklist 6/25, less than 30 business days...

DS-261 rec'd 6/2, got IV invoice 6/30, less than 30 business days..

my last email was IV package 6/27, AOS checklist corrected form - sent 6/25

I called last friday, operator asked me to wait 30 business days from 6/27, 7/1 and 7/2 cause that's the 3 last emails they have in the system.

she told me there was no scan day for EP, as soon as they open my email, they will review right away.

but today another operator asked me to wait 60 business days from the day they rec'd them.....

*no comments* just wanna shoot myself...

I had a feeling it would be a matter of time before the agents started saying 60 business days. They're backlogged big time and probably in an effort to decrease call volume they're giving longer time frames. Will this stop people from calling? No, of course not. Should we get really frustrated at what the phone agents are telling us? Not really, because we have this lovely thread and spreadsheet to give us more accurate time frames.

Ignore the phone agent (unless it's a Case Complete or check list) and stick with us :-D

Thanks so much! NVC should hire some IT experts to create some sort of great timeline on their website, and just hire few people to answer phone calls and online chat will be a plus..hahaha

I think it will save their money and save our time ... but they don't see it, and I don't think they will see it anytime in the future... their online system just sucks beyond!!! that's why people calls 24/7.

I remember last December NVC was so smooth, I called and got through first time, waiting period was 5 minutes and that was around 5pm. now everytime I call at 5pm, I just wanted to throw my phone out of the window...lol :wow::ranting:

btw congrats on your case complete and your interview.... I hope I can see my hubby soon and spend our first anniversary together, but doubted. it's 9/9... that's more like case complete with 60 days thing :rofl::rofl:

Just like the rumor that NVC is working overtime (they're not. they're not, they're not, they're not), I think sometimes we get lost in the nightmare and take what the phone agents say at face value.

Everyone reading this thread! If the agent says it will take one year to process your IV, say thanks and hang up. It's good for your mental health! They know you're calling back anyway, you know you're calling back anyway. Save yourselves the stress :content:

And thank you, I can't wait until this nightmare is over!

So I paid AOS and sent my AOS package. I'm waiting for IV invoice. I read where people are saying that AOS and IV should be sent together. Well, I did not do that. Did I make a mistake for not doing that. Will it slow me down. Should I send IV package and not wait to pay IV first?

If that's what their supervisors are telling people to say, then that's what they're going to start telling people. The phone agents are not the document reviewers, so they don't really know. It's taking roughly 30 business days right now and we all scoffed at them when they were telling us 30 business days a couple months ago. Now that it's taking that long, they are likely being told by their supervisors to create a buffer. It doesn't mean it's going to take 60 days.
