Good for you! I wish I had a lawyer. I got screwed and it cost me 40 days waiting for the IV fee invoice because I was too cheap to hire a lawyer. It was my second time getting screwed. I got screwed for the first time when I got transferred to NSC.

I'm just curious. You got a checklist on the AOS package. You probably mentioned this on here before, but what was the reason for the checklist again?

I almost would rather be screwed and have to wait an extra 40 days than have to pay $3000-5000+ and have to risk my paperwork being messed up or lost!

Hey everyone it is lovely to find this thread and just read about people who are just like me and my wife. Our 30 days from received are up and still nothing, I check everyday and just hope everything is perfect for us. This process really has taken it out of us emotionally. I just hope we get that interview soon, cannot wait to hold my wife again.

Typically, your USCIS case status will change to "On *some date* we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing" within a week of NOA2. After that it usually takes 2 weeks before NVC actually receives your case. Then you need to call NVC as explained in the wiki to confirm.

Guys, I got a checklist I called NVC last night and the guy told me it is an error in the part 6 number 10, I should get the email today... I was so happy beacuse I finally completed my ds260 yesterday and then I had this bad new... they usually send the checklist email next day? please help

Typically, your USCIS case status will change to "On *some date* we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing" within a week of NOA2. After that it usually takes 2 weeks before NVC actually receives your case. Then you need to call NVC as explained in the wiki to confirm.

Checklist emails go out at the end of the next day after it is generated.

If by "part 6 line 10" you mean in the I-864, that number should be the total of part 6 lines 5, 6c, 7c, 8c, and 9c. If you don't have any co-sponsors you just copy line 5 over. Did you accidentally leave line 10 blank?

(what a pain) . i didnt file tax last 3 three years(i live with my parents and i was a dependent under thr tax return) but this year i started my new job and make 40 k/ year. so do i still need a sponsor because i didnt file tax for last three? i have pay stubs from march to this date and employment letter.what i am planning to include in my AOS package is

If I am not mistaken then u do need a sponsor of your 2013 taxes were not filed. U need to include a letter of explanation plus any proof to prove it if I can as to why U didn't file. Employment letter stating that u were employed in May 2014 will do. Rest of the stuff u should check from the first post and get ur package ready ahead of time! Good luck

I agree! I mean lawyers of more harm then good. Yeah u would have saved 30 days In invoice but what's the guarantee that he wouldn't have messed it up atleast once and then u get a checklist and wait for the same 45 days and losing 5000 dollars as well! It's better not to have them

I got a checklist due to my lawyer some stupid questions for I864 .

In Part 3-Item 7. The total number of immigrants listed in Item 7 must equal the number of immigrants listed in Part 3, Items

1 through 6.f. In addition, you must also verify that the total number of immigrants listed in Item 7 matches the

number you entered in Part 5 Item1.

In Part 5. Sponsor's Household Size, please correct the following-Item 1. The number of sponsored persons must match the number listed in Part 3, Item 7.

In Part 6. Sponsor's Income and Employment, please correct the following-Item 10. The current annual household income must equal the sum of items 5, 6.c., 7.c., 8.c., and 9.c.

We feel your pain. Our NAO2 is of January 29th. NVC received last checklist reply in their system on June 11th and it is past 30 business days but they have not reviewed it. Stay strong and hang in there.

I receive $3,000 three times a year. (aug.jan.may) Ive been in school for 5 years. I have graduated from one program this july(masters) and I have been awarded $20,000 to begin another program starting in August.(doctrine)

Can those funds be counted as income to bring my hubby home?
