Thanks Saylin! I do have the W2's which is what was sent with the tax returns. My joint sponsor doesn't even know transcripts even exist!! Lol! When I mentioned it to her she started freaking out!! She made me feel crazy!!

Ok, was just making sure as you mentioned W2s for your joint sponsor's paperwork, but no mention on yours.

And you can download the tax transcript immediately online, so you both should look into that, if possible.

Hey everyone! I'm about to send off my AOS packets just wondering if you guys could let me know if I'm missing anything.

● AOS bar-coded cover sheet

● Form I-864 (completed and signed)

● 2011 Tax return

● 2012 Tax return

● 2013 Tax return

● Proof of employment - Job letter

● Proof that employment will end - Job letter

● Three recent pay stubs

Joint Sponsor's documents

● Form I-864 (completed and signed)

● 1-864A (completed and signed)

● 2011 Tax return and W2

● 2012 Tax return and W2

● 2013 Tax return and W2

● Copy of birth certificate

● Copy of passport

● Job verification letter

● Pay stubs from the most recent months (March, April, May, June, July)

I know it's supposed to be either the passport or birth certificate, but I decided to send both :-) responses are greatly appreciated. TIA!

No, they shouldn't. If you don't get a checklist for them though, you should bring copies to the interview, just in case.

No, they shouldn't. If you don't get a checklist for them though, you should bring copies to the interview, just in case.

Do you recommend sending them with the package? I never sent them to the IRS. They told me not to. The rep specifically said "oh God no, don't do that" lol

You can if you want. Just make sure you clearly state on the cover letter the petitioner is working in Canada. Then maybe include post it notes on the T4s explaining what they are and such. Make sure you explain everything all over the place for these people!

I just called and spoke with Don at NVC.. i got a case complete as of yesterday. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. I told him to reconfirm that i had a case complete!

The NVC Site doesnt show n/a for AOS yet.

Is that mean they are reviewing 6/20 sacnned documents.

You can if you want. Just make sure you clearly state on the cover letter the petitioner is working in Canada. Then maybe include post it notes on the T4s explaining what they are and such. Make sure you explain everything all over the place for these people!

I included an entire letter in front of the page asking for current income stating it will end and he is currently working in Canada. Also, included a resignation letter from employer and a proof of employment letter from employer. Hopefully this is sufficient..

Do you know what an outlier is?

You have to read a little bit more into this stuff. Just because one person gets a case complete and they have a scanned date way past everyone else's in their signature does not mean that is the scan date that the NVC is working on. You have to read more posts in here, when you see a trend, that's how you can tell what date they are working on.

I just don't want you or anyone else to get their hopes up or start getting really frustrated that NVC skipped 15 days worth of scan dates.

NVC does not work on one day at a time, they work on a range of dates. I agree completely with nicholemariev's statement.

Also, I'm wondering if check lists are now in another queue and that's why Dwipal got a CC when he did? It would make sense to put check list mail in a separate queue and not mixed in with everything else.

I called NVC yesterday and one lady said to call back next week as I said to review checklist 30 business days id alot.I was surpried when she said call back next week ,so I called it again and another lady said it won't be done before 30 working days.Now I wondering what will happen.

And as I said to someone else earlier this morning, take what these phone Agents say with a grain of salt. They're not the ones reviewing the documents, so they really don't know.
