Congrats!!!

When was your last email received by NVC? Please share as my sent checklist reply on June 10th which was entered on June 11 at NVC. We are doing EP as well.

Regards

Jag

The last e-mail I received from them was June 11, and that was acknowledging that I was now enrolled in EP.

I sent the enroll e-mail back on May 15th, but this was before enrolling via e-mail was made obsolete.

Either way, that's the last correspondence I received from them. I wonder if they used a date right around there as my scanned date. My guess is that they did. The package was e-mailed on the 6th, and I bet the scan date was set as when they enrolled me in EP (13th).

Just a hunch. That could mean that they are up to the ~11th-13th now. Though as I said before, it appears that nothing is consistent whatsoever with EP, especially with respect to normal processing comparisons.

No kidding.

I was gung-ho about EP, enrolled, and then had my inspiration deflated when I read some horror stories about it in terms of just being ENROLLED timely.

I can safely say that it appears they used my "scanned" date as the day that I literally sent the e-mail with the packages. The 23rd being used makes no sense as they are still on what, the 9th?

Again, EP could just be different in that respect as well.

Thanks everyone.

Big congrats!!! :goofy::goofy:

May I ask when you sent your IV package?

I'm doing EP too... now just waiting for case complete.. :clock::clock:

IV and AOS were both e-mailed on June 6th as we used a lawyer. NVC said (on phone) that they were "pending" as of June 23rd.

Those are just the numbers. Afaik, they aren't up to the 23rd yet but it's likely that the 23rd was not considered my scan date.

Hi folks,

I did EP (Canada) and I submitted my AOS / IV electronically on June 6. I called about a week ago and the mail was received on June 23rd.

For what it's worth, I just checked my CEAC and the "AOS Fee" portion is a gray "N/A" BUT the IV is still "PAID"

I used a lawyer, so both were submitted simultaneously.

Does this mean that the AOS is accepted but the IV might be a checklist?

On hold now, hoping someone can shed some light before they finally pick up.

Thanks.

-Matt

Congratulatins!!!

NVC uses email date as scan date (as in case of for snail mail). So they are not on June 23rd for EP. It makes sense as my wife sent a checklist reply on June 10th and still waiting. If NVC was on June 23td then her case would have been reviewed by this time. I guess we need to wait a little longer than snail mail.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I saw this in your previous posting. For our VJers, we should consider this June 6th EP (no predictable scan date like in snail mail). We may want to use email sent date for better time calculations.

They will be soon booking for September interviews and you should get this info soon.

I recieved my NOA2 on 9 July14...I thought it was time for me to start calling the NVC yesterday but to my surprize I recieved this email yesterday saying that they had shipped my petition...Here is a copy/paste...

On July 23, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing

Now I am wondering when I should start calling the NVC? It was shipped from Nebraska. Any thoughts is welcome.

Congrats! The best thing to do is read and re-read this post first: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

I would start calling to see if the NVC received your case in about 1-2 weeks. :)

That means I have a long wait....:cry::cry::cry::crying::crying::crying::crying: i sent the last piece (iv package 6/27) I didn't know they have scan date for EP, the operator told me there was no scan date i guess she was wrong.... :ranting::ranting:

But still congrats!!!!!!!!!!!! :idea::idea:

It's weird that most of my stuff (DS261, AOS checklist, etc.) came less than 30 business days..I'm doing EP too btw. Should call NVC tonight for updates as I barely call them...i'm trying to stay positive...

Idk if you received the hardcopy for the checklist... I receive both email and hardcopy for AOS checklist...I thought once I gave them Email, they stop sending out hardcopy...

but good luck =) :goofy:

Read a few post earlier today on VJ & then on the US Embassy Mumbai website.

Decided to call NVC. The lady told me that she doesn't know of any system crashes and that NVC is not affected by any of it since they only process visas. Its the State Department that issues visas.

She further said NVC system is working just fine. This is how she was able to retrieve the latest information on my case and asked to wait "30 business days" which will be August 8

Just since a few days this trend changed. Before that EP was going slower than snail mail and a lot of people opted for snail instead. Now EP got better. As someone correctly said it's like changing lanes in traffic lol. Other one gets faster always.

Ohh i called nvc last night and they told me that they scanned my iv package and have to wait 30 B. Days to be reviewed
