Yes soloenta. We are indeed jinxed!

I know we truly are, I guess our biggest sin was to fall in love with someone outside the USA. We really need a lot of prayers, I do believe that prayer can move mountains. I'm not a fanatic but do feel that prayer make a difference. But we need a lot of people to do so. I for sure will pray and have been praying for every one on this thread. God bless and help us all.

We have also been there since April and at this rate I can't see us arriving into the US until after Thanksgiving.

We were also check listed on AOS for a minor thing. It was delivered last week but I haven't called yet to see when it was scanned in but I am thinking it is going to take them 30 business days to review and then it will be a pleasant surprise if it is shorter.

I was check listed because the lawyer put the wrong figure in 13.a.1. It should have been line 22 from Tax Return and she put in the Gross Income but we didn't submit the EZ form. Also my husband had not signed one of the forms because lawyer never sent it to him. We were VERY disappointed. Trying to put that behind us now. The checklist has been scanned in yesterday so the clock begins again.

I had the Certificate sent to me and then included it in the IV package. It took about 2 weeks to get to my house which wasn't bad.

I had a lightbulb moment when I read this... PCCs are sent to you directly if you are outside NSW or QLD... If you're in NSW or QLD they send it directly to the consulate. I've checked the checklist I received after our IV package and that's what it states. Sorry for the confusion Jeff&Kay - clearly ready to be done with this!

643-500= 143th date of the year which is May 23rd, that's the exact date NVC assigned my case number.

But the confusing part is how did you come about the 500 figure that is used to subtract the number? Am curious to know.

Well, I got the information from someone else, so even I don't know about why the 500 figure is there.

Thanks for the prompt reply and I think it will be helpful for us all. We have a lawyer too and during the USCIS stage we got an RFE which set us back by one month, so now I am like once bitten, twice shy. Now I want to be involved with what's going on and what forms the lawyer is submitting and I asked him to show me the I-864, which he got after me asking for it thrice. Wherever the information was not applicable, the lawyer left it all blank. Just don't want another set back, have had too many...

hmm I live in Toowoomba in QLD so really it should be sent to consulate so im not sure if the cops in this town just dont know what there talking about I guess ill find out in a few weeks or so....

Saylin, could you create an expandable/collapsible section for the extra columns so that only those wishing to seek the extra information need to expand that section?

Hmm, that would be cool. What columns would be considered "extra"? And is that even feasible in Google Spreadsheets? I don't think I've seen that option!

I was reading on here about some of the peoples experiences at the consulate, particularly Montreal. They mention of taking 2 passport pictures to the interview. I already sent 2 passport pics to the NVC with my IV package, so will these be needed as well? Also, when people mention of taking original marriage licenses etc, to the interview did they most likely do electronic processing? I mailed my originals in so don't have them.

Yes, you should need another 2 passport pictures at the interview. And possibly depending on where you get your medical done, you'll need 3 for that as well. (They like having our pictures )

And yes, when you see mention of people bringing originals to the interview at Montreal, it's because they did EP. If you snail mailed everything, then you don't need to worry about bringing originals as NVC will forward everything on to Montreal.

They're called votes (and are liked to one's reputation that you can view on your profile), and people don't use them as they should (or what I think they should be used for anyways). It's not like a Facebook like where you like someone's status. It's more of a "hey, this person gave good advice" sort of deal. But whatever

I'm not entirely sure if this affects the process at NVC or only afterwards for obtaining the visa. Hopefully, VJ will report on this in the news section and expand on what's going on.

My i-130 was received yesterday and now just waiting for the NOA1 to come in. Excited and nervous with this whole process, hopefully I can get the much needed help on this board through the process. Hopefully this process won't keep me and my wife apart for too long!

Any insight on how Canada compares to other countries in terms of processing times. I have checked all timelines and know they vary from just one month (for NOA 1 to NOA 2) to a whole year; but a general idea if Canadians are on the faster side comparatively?

Also, my wife is on my lease here in Canada and come stays with me for a month at a time and back in US for a month. I put our Canadian address as our current address living together, but put her official address as her Chicago one. Just wanted to get an idea to see if this is okay, and if this is seen as favorable or not.

Someone had an interview in Pakistan yesterday. They were approved, but the member mentioned the Consukate officer kept commenting on how slow their computer system was going.

A member in Taiwan was told yesterday that the system was down and while approved, there was nothing they could do on their end to issue the visa at this time as a result. A member in Australia reported no issue from their interview yesterday (they were approved).
