NVC received my file: 07/11/14

Today I called and received the case no. and invoice no., but it says combo not find.

I called NVC again and confirmed the number. Still same issue.

Is there a lag between receiving the number and being able to login on online forms portal?

Saylin I like the new spreadsheet but I think there are a few extra columns which can be ommitted. Like ppl when recieve AOS and IV invoice they pay right away. And ds261 and 260 submitted right away when they get it. So maybe u can omit some columns like 5,7,9,11,13,15 and 18.

Dates are important which tell scanned not sent. Since u say ppl who are serious only get inside the new layout so I m sure they would be serious enough to call atleast once after sending the package so they would get the scanned date. That's my two cents :)

Hello everyone,

I just called NVC and spoke to an agent, I think his name was Todd. My AOS was scanned in on June 11th, and the business day calculator that someone had shared on this site claims that makes 29 business days today. But he told me that 29 business days would be next Saturday. Does anyone have any thoughts on that discrepancy?

Also, he told me that I would get an e-mail notifying me that it had been reviewed, either a real checklist or a false checklist for the IV docs(scanned in on July 9). But I had understood that false checklists were kind of hit and miss. Anyone have any thoughts on that? Should I call again in a couple of days? Maybe on Monday if I don't have an e-mail? I don't want to clog up the phone lines for others.

Good luck on everyone's case

By definition Saturday can't be a business day o.O Go by the calculator and definitely keep calling. I wouldn't count on receiving the false checklist as evidence your AOS has been accepted, although it does seem to happen to a lot of people. Even if I received a false checklist I'd be calling to confirm :)

Still not seeing the IV portal in the CEAC website. 3 days and counting since the time we received the email for IV invoice. :clock:

Yea same with me. 3 days counting after receiving the IV invoice email. Now its 33 business days and can't pay the IV fee. This processing is heartbreaking.

I need some advice here. I filed the ds260 online for my husband (beneficiary), and on the application there was a section about beneficiary's children. At the time he didn't have any kids, so I put that on the application. Well this week we welcomed our first baby. Should I call the NVC and update the application or just leave it how it is? Does it really matter?? I don't want to cause a delay by updating the application, or by not updating it when I should have.

Thoughts?

First, congrats on the new addition to your family! Second, since the baby is in the US with you, I don't think it will pose an issue, since the baby isn't immigrating with him, baby is already here.

I'm not 100% for sure about that, but I'm sure someone else will chime in :-)

You filled out the DS-261 on June 5th and your scan date is June 16th!? :wow: It's usually the next day! :dead:

However, some people get unlucky (screwed) and end up having a scan date that is 1-2 weeks later. :bonk: Their buggy system needs to be fixed and updated.

Oh really? I feel more sad now..I do hate NVC now:(

Thanks for the answers-- I realized I made a typo in my post-- he said that Saturday would be 30 business days, not 29. It IS exactly 45 calendar days... maybe that's how much time they give themselves? Seems like that should vary depending where in the week you start? Anyway, I will try again tomorrow or the next day. It's not a huge rush, as we have a while to wait on the IV docs, but in the case that there's a checklist it would be nice to address it as soon as possible.

Thanks again! Good luck everyone!

I can probably take off the AOS and IV paid columns as like you said, most people fill it out right away. And the DS-261 one as well as again, most people fill it out ASAP. But, I know many people take their time with the DS-260 and don't submit it right away, so it might make more sense to keep that one. Although, I can probably remove when the DS-260 becomes available as, unless things have changed, it's pretty soon after the IV bill appears as PAID.

I need some advice here. I filed the ds260 online for my husband (beneficiary), and on the application there was a section about beneficiary's children. Just mention it at the interview :)

Congratulations! I don't know the answer to the question, but I would imagine that everything would be understood to be true and accurate as of the date submitted.
