Ok I did it I DID IT!!!!! I just clicked "SEND" on the email to NVCElectronic@state.gov. This was for my I-864 package, electronic processing. There is no more proofreading, no more double checking, no more overanalyzing anything anymore, it is all now in the hands of the NVC. :clock:

For the last week, I've been second guessing myself over every little detail, no doubt I'll be completely grey before we ever make it to the USA LOL!!!:rofl:

I suggest that you call and check if they received your email. We waited for 30 days to find that the checklist reply was never received ( or went to spam). My wife had sent it twice but NVC did not find it in their system. She had to resend it resulting in more than two months delay.

Good idea! How long should I wait before I call?

Our attachments were 8.6 mb (compressed from 40mb)... it is under the 10mb suggested in the EP wiki so I'm guessing we should be okay with that but you can never be sure. How big were your attachment files?

Is anyone still waiting for a case complete? I think I'm the only one waiting and my case number was assigned April 29, this is so messed up. I'm still waiting for 2 checklist responses, that were delivered to them by the end of June.

I'm still waiting for case complete!! You're not alone. I had AOS checklist that they received 06/18.

Hello All,

It has been 3 months since I got my case number and still no IV invoice, I am really tired of this process. me and my wife can not take it anymore, I am leaving oversease tomorrow to stay with my wife and daughter untill the NVC start working on our case. 14months + since we started this process and still do not know when it is going to end, I quit my job and put my education on hold till who knows when. I am really frustrated right now, but what can we do!!! goodluck everyone and i will try to keep you updated if anything happen (internet slow oversease),,thanks

You quit your job? You do have a joint sponsor for I-864, right? I hope you do!

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

You should call next week sometime to confirm. My wife's i864 was also around 8MB. We have two IR5 cases. NVC completed my case. We sent emails from same computer and wonder how could they not receive from one person. NVC is a mad-house. They don't care or listen to our side of story . You can resend the same email next week . I don't want to scare you. Some VJers had no problems. We received our NAO2 on Jan 29th and are still waiting. It is almost 6 months for us at NVC and still no case complete.

If I were you then would resend the same email sometime next week as it does not hurt and saves on time.

All the best!

I read about that before, so I checked the files on my husband's computer and on my work computer before sending them. I didn't zip them, just shrunk the file sizes by making the images a lower resolution (I used smallpdf.com since I don't have a full version of Adobe Acrobat like Saylin used in her wiki)

Thanks. We are not in a rush to move to US as both have jobs here but still the process has caused undue stress.

I definitely understand the undue stress... we both have jobs here too and haven't sold our house yet, the main pressure is the dread of interviewing and moving in the dead of Winterpeg Canadian winter, that and the slowly rising house prices in our intended city of Raleigh, NC. I guess it is what it is and we will just deal with it as it comes. It will be so nice to live closer to my family after 12 years of living close to his family.

Hi Everyone,

Just a little vent because, well, just because this is so frustrating.

Why is the NVC so messed up right now? We were approved through USCIS in early May. I called NVC to see what was taking so long to get an email and they said it was scanned in on May 21st, and it would be 30 business days. I think I talked to that jerk Parker someone mentioned a few days ago. He wasn't so nasty on the phone with me on this call, although I felt rushed to get off the phone, but I has waited 45 min to talk to someone so i had a lot of questions. This was June 12th.

So end of June rolls around and I call back and get the same guy I talked to originally. This time he says 30 business days from the day I called the 1st time (june 12). I said nooooo, you told me 30 biz days from May 21st when the petition was scanned in and he argued with me to the point that he put me on hold about 2 times in the middle of me speaking and pretty much yelled at me. I asked to talk to a supervisor who was nice, and about 2 days later we were able to pay the AOS bill and my hub submitted the DS261.

I overnighted the AOS after paying the bill and waited about 2 weeks to call. I called and talked to a really nice guy this time. He said they just scanned in the AOS...it took over a week to scan in something I overnighted. UGH.

So, then of course the guy said it would be 30 biz days to get to reviewing the AOS and the same for the DS261.

We can't even fill out the DS260 until the bill becomes available and that won't happen until they review the DS261. It has like 3 questions on it!! I asked why it took so long to move past the 261 and he said that this 5 min process (his words) is now taking 30 BUSINESS DAYS. WHAT?? :wow:

Needless to say this is very frustrating. To top it all off my husbands contract in Japan is now ending and we have to change the embassy from Japan to his home country of France. Another process that is going to elongate this process.

We applied in November thinking this process would take less then a year but it is not looking likely. I asked the last NVC guy when we would likely get an interview if we are approved and he said probably November. This is putting our lives on hold!

Is there anything else I can do to get this moving? I have called NVC about 4 times to check on things, but I don't think that is helping at all.

Yes there is, find and shoot every applicant in front of you. I have thought of this, but I would have to get up off my chair to do it. :pop: :D

Believe me we feel your pain. (F) (L) (F)
