Where it shows N/A on AOS docs and IV docs will stay like that throughout the whole process. I haven't seen anyone's who had different when they logged in. You need to call them to see when they "received" it by the day they scanned it in. They will tell you "We received a package on xxxxx this day, please allow up to 30 business days.!"

Thanx, I was waiting on the status on the website to change. I'll call them as soon as I get of work.

After they scan it, it takes 30 days to review/process it?

I overnighted my AOS package on July 14, tracking number shows being delivered next day July 15. When I log in to ceac.state.gov website it still shows N/A for AOS documents. How long does it take for them to process sent package, and how will I know they processed it?

Please correct me if I'm wrong , but from what I have read it is usually taking up to 5 business days for your packet to be scanned into system , once scanned it is taking up to 30 business days for your AOS packet to be reviewed. Also on the ceac.state forms site the N/A doesn't change as Saylin said in her wiki , NVC will use that in the future. If you wan to find out if your packet has been scanned you should call the NVC and ask.

Probably won't be scanned in for a few days.. So I would probably call around Tuesday or Wednesday. Unfortunately yes, it's taking up close to the full 30 business days for them review packages lately.

Hi again all,

I mailed in the corrected I-864 as per the checklist we received, as well as other docs they requested on July 9th. I haven't heard anything yet? Will it be yet another 30 days or so before we hear anything?

It seems like another wait time that has extended is between when a packet arrives at the NVC and when it is scanned in. I would say this is especially nerve-wracking, because I just want to be sure they didn't lose my packet. Aaand of course I can't start counting 30 business days until its actually scanned in. AOS package arrived Monday at 9am, still not scanned in.

Also Rlelle09, I remember you weren't far after me, congrats on the movement!

Thank you!! :-)

Hello All!

I called NVC yesterday since it was my 30 business days. They scanned my ds-261 on 6/5 and my AOS pkt on 6/6. so when i called yesterday the lady was real nice and said she would put in an order to have my case worked.. and sure enough by 4pm i received a check list (something minor) so i corrected and sent it off. But i also received something saying i needed to submit ds-261 i didnt want to do that since i already have and i know they have it, so i wait until today and call them back. first i speak to a man who says my ds-261 hasnt been worked yet and so my IV fee hasnt been generated yet. so i call back later and speak to a woman who tells me the same thing... i let her know that this is my 30 business days and she tells me that is just the general, it may take longer... Is there someone i can email about this?? I dont understand how one rep can do something and my case gets worked that day but the other reps cant do anything.... its bad enough to wait the 30 business day let alone having to wait longer..

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Alright folks, I'm driving to Minneapolis for the weekend. I'm of course bringing a laptop with, but I won't be online again until later tonight. So, in my absence, please read post 1 and then read it again! :D

Good luck to all, hopefully there's lots of progress while I'm gone!

Don't drive and surf at the same time, and have a safe trip.

Hey folks... if you come across an online buzz about a blue alien flashing through I-94, don't panic. It would be just Saylin in her Prius.

Glad to see they were working on your AOS package.. sorry about the checklist (ouch!) A few people have gone over 30 business days for the DS261 to unlock the IV fee. Give it about a couple more days. You can try calling back to get another operator to see if they can push a supervisor review. Some operators are useless there. (There's a few there that actually try to help!)

I filed I-864EZ.

Ouch! Sorry :(. Good luck!

Yes, AOS packet was scanned 6/5 and I actually received a checklist for not writing N/A at Place of Residence (same as mailing address) ... I knew that was coming...

Is this in I-864? Which part? Can't find it?

I have also read about this in Saylin's wiki but i can't figure out which part is this. Anyone please answer me!

-Although the I-864 instructions say if the answer is none or N/A, then to leave it blank, do NOT do this. I have seen countless people get checklists for leaving things blank, specifically the question asking for place of residence. Although it says to fill it out only if it's different from the mailing address, I have seen dozens and dozens of people getting checklists for leaving it blank.

Hi,

I have a PCC question. My wife (beneficiary) lived in 2 states in India after turning 16. 1) Location A - her home since childhood and where she currently lives. 2) Location B - where she attended college and did internship for about 5 years. We got the PCC from the regional passport office of location A (in India PCC is issued by passport office). I am confused if a second PCC from Location B is also required? Any insight on this will be helpful.

Also, I read elsewhere in VJ that PCC is not required for Mumbai Consulate, is it really true ?
