Saw a recent post from someone a day ago that an agent told them it could take 3-4 days afterwards for it to unlock. Hope you get it unlocked soon!

Yes, it seems like there are many such cases (including mine) that are pending beyond 30 business days. I got the same response when I called yesterday. I am not quite sure whether it is genuine response and just saying for the sake of it. I guess we need to look for a escalation process. This is totally insane. At one point both AOS and IV submission used to take two weeks....now with the number of cases in queue..they say every action will take up to 30 business days...and they can't even stand on that. Before we know, they may say up to 60 days. It is just ridiculous that a us citizen has to wait for about year (not guaranteed) painful process but working visa holders can bring their spouse on dependent visa right away. It doesn't make sense at all. Am I the only one thinking this way? Is there any thing we can do to improve this process ...at least future applicants will get benefit from it.

That is fantastic news, congrats!!! More and more people are able to reschedule interviews to earlier date. Did you give specific reason for the reschedule or simply asked you need earlier interview date if possible?

USPS said it was delivered on Monday, I will have to wait that long before I know they actually received it?

In the exact same boat. My AOS package arrived Monday. I just called and they told me it isn't scanned in yet. From other people's timelines it seems scan in takes generally between 2 and 7 business days? I am literally just waiting for the real wait to start :)

On a brighter note, I just overnighted my IV packet, should arrive tomorrow AM. Once I find out these packets were both scanned in I am going to try and forget the NVC even exists for at least 3 full weeks and just relax a bit.

That's great news! Did you only use the "contact us" form on the embassy website to request this or some other means or persuasion?

I used the contact form. I sent them an e-mail stating that NVC does not schedule interviews in the order in which they are received, we had a case complete on June 16th and were randomly assigned the last business day of August. I then stated my husband completed his medical on July 8th so we're ready for the interview.

My husband also met with his MP yesterday and she said she would be calling the Embassy today. Between my e-mail and her phone call, who knows. Being a snotty princess works sometimes LOL

Ok and what about primary occupation? If I put medical/health they are asking for employer's name. But I m not employed right now. So should I just out non employed and then medical under 'intended to work in states' or should I put education or something like that? Because I m a doctor already so I m not studying right now but not practicing in Pakistan either.

Your occupation remains unchanged i.e. doctor whether or not you are employed. Put down doctor and then write-currently unemployed.

Correct, you can put homemaker as current occupation or else they will need your employer's info.

Woohoo!! Congrats! :dance::dance:

Thank you!! I've been a total nightmare to be around since we got our original stupid date! I'm over the moon now!!! And it's finally sinking in that he's coming home! :luv:

I stated NVC's scheduling system is stupid and unfair and we deserve an earlier date - not in those exact snarky words, but I was pretty curt in my e-mail LOL I think it also helped me mentioning his medical was complete and we were good to go.

Yeah, I remember when you got your date you were pretty disappointed as it was assigned out of line. Glad you were able to get an earlier date :) Hopefully you'll be less of a nightmare now :P (Although, I didn't personally experience it ;) )
