Hello, I just got my case number and ID number yesterday. As I tried to sign in to pay my AOS fee there was an error message at the top of the page saying "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately." Is my case suddenly in deep sh!t or is this a common error? Thanks for any replies.

Hey Tuskls,

According to the wiki, it is nothing to worry about. Give it a couple days, it most likely means the NVC is inputting your case in their system.

If I'm mistaken, feel free to correct me.

10 Sep '14 IV shows up as paid, IV package sent

12 Sep '14 DS-260 submitted

20 Sep '14 IV package returned to me by the US postal service Great *sigh*

22 Sep '14 Re-sending IV package (Priority Mail 2-day Delivery)

24 Sep '14 IV package arrived (USPS tracking confirmed)

24 Sep '14 IV package received (scanned, 60 day email sent)

05 Oct '14 AOS package accepted (60 days after 06 Aug) Stupid NVC now reviews both packages together, using the last scandate.

23 Oct '14 Checklist received for AOS, missed a couple checkboxes and now I'll have to miss my wife an extra 2 months

05 Nov '14 AOS-Checklist scanned in

23 Dec '14 Case complete!

21 Jan '15 Medical
24 Feb '15 Interview -Approved! (issued as of 25 Feb '15)

27 Feb '15 Visa in hand, feels good.
07 Mar '15 POE at DTW, easy as pie.

17 Mar '15 Got my SS card in the mail --Elis still says 'Optimised' though

21 Apr '15 Got my Green Card in the mail!

Thanks a lot NickTijs! I apologize for being a noob and not noticing that on the wiki. I did exactly what the wiki said not to do and PANICKED. I'll make sure to read the whole wiki again before posting any other problems. :oops:

Well I finally called today to check up on my wife's status. I'm sponsoring her and we both live in Canada so I was a little worried about getting the AOS approved since I haven't established a domicle in the US yet (but do have a job offer that I submitted with AOS package).

My AOS was approved! Submitted the package via EP on 5/22. Forgot to ask for the approval date.

We submitted the IV docs via EP on 6/19 and I was told they were scanned into the system on July 1. So it looks like 30 business days to go at NVC (counting from 7/1).

Congrats on your approval of AOS :). I think the EP is bit different from snail mail. Hope you hear about your IV package soon!

I called NVC today, this is the 30th business day since they have received my DS-261. The rep said she would put in an order for someone to work my case. Any idea how long that might take? Is anyone else on the 30+ days to get the IV fee?

Saw a recent post from someone a day ago that an agent told them it could take 3-4 days afterwards for it to unlock. Hope you get it unlocked soon!

I called yesterday late evening after 95 try and 45 mins wait but it was worth they say you call at right time your case just completed. :dancing: :joy: :dancing:

USPS said it was delivered on Monday, I will have to wait that long before I know they actually received it?

I believe ontheroadagain submitted via EP (electronic mail) which is a bit different than the snail mail process.

I haven't kept track recently but a month ago it was taking 3-4 business days for a package to be scanned after delivery. I hope this number hasn't gone up too much because I have a package headed there right now. If anyone has more recent data, please share.

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

Mine was delivered by Fedex on Monday too... I called yesterday and the lady said it should be entered into the system by next week... I will call again tomorrow... I don't want to clog the lines for those finding out about checklists/CCs! Let me know if you hear anything on yours!
