NVC Filers - July 2014

Did the usual morning check on the CEAC website today and I saw N/A. So I called immediately and, sure enough, all four cases for our boys were completed yesterday!

Scan date June 6.

Case Complete

I called yesterday late evening after 95 try and 45 mins wait but it was worth they say you call at right time your case just completed. :joy:

Ohh thats good. So, do I have to wait for more 30 business days or lesser than that? I'm wondering how much tiime will they take more to review my documents?

I wish I could say soon but things are not looking that great, they are so backed up thanks to USCIS finally doing their job. Sorry to say ( because I sound selfish and I am ) wish they had waited for all of us that suffered through the very long wait to get OUT OF HERE FIRST so don't expect it to take less than 30 days but I would call at least once a week after two weeks have passed. Good luck to you I'll be sending mine soon.

How long is "NVC to interview" is taking these days (assuming no checklist)?

Depends on the Embassy but I'm thinking two months or less. God willing and nothing changes. I've seen some given out very quickly. Can't remember one lately, anyone?

You are looking at 5 months after NOA2 at USCIS. 6 months if you are delayed paying IV fee as many people currently are.

Breakdown:

1 week to ship case from USCIS to NVC

4 weeks to assign NVC case #

1 week for AOS fees

0-6 weeks for IV fees

6 weeks for AOS/IV review

6 weeks from CC to interview

The mind boggles every time I add this up but this appears to be the current state of things.

Every single day is counted. Google does the calculation for me. In the '# of Days' column, I just do =(click CC date box)-(click case # assigned date box), then hit enter. It does all the magic. I'm thinking there isn't a calculation that does just business days (unless I count manually, which I don't want to do, as my current method is much faster).

PS - Maybe I should create a Wiki to teach people how to use the multiquote feature and reduce the amount of posts in this thread by 50%. hahahahaha

Yeah, even with a formula to count just business days, it might be confusing to some people, as they'll see (for example) 60 [business] days to get through NVC and think just 2 months, yet, when you throw in weekends and holidays, it's closer to 3 months.

And haha! Maybe making a video would be better to actually SHOW where the multi-quote button is and how to use it. Make sure you mention how to write the reply OUTSIDE of the quote
