OK... a bit dramatic.

In the meantime I have taken up running to keep my mind off this whole situation. I started about 6 weeks ago and could only run for 2 minutes without stopping. This week, I have run 6km three times! I have entered the 5km event for Run Melbourne next weekend and am going to train for a 10k. If we are still here in October, I will do the 10km event in the Melbourne Marathon.

i submitted my G-325a biographic information with my mother current name which is Rubina Asif

now while filling DS-260 its says Mother surnames at birth, her name at birth was Rubina Yasmin but we havent got any record of that.

what should i do ?????

Filling up my ds260 package isn't receive by hubby yet. Hopefully by tonight and then he can mail it right away! Hoping for the best!!

We all deserve case completes, and I really hope for your sake as well they speed up in their processing so you can cc soon!

I'm working under the assumption they will not speed up their processing. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it took them 40 business days to review my checklist response after they scan it in.

I hope jsumner gets CC and sails to an early September interview! My wife's interview is so far out at this point that the date feels like a distant concern. I don't think we're going to make the October cut off so we're probably looking at November earliest. It seems crazy when just 2 weeks ago we were holding onto a chance at an early August interview!

I look back to the day, almost 4 months ago, when I escaped USCIS/Nebraska full of hope for a speedy journey through NVC... Ah to be young and naive again!

I don't think they would ask any record of that. Her current name is the same as u have on ur birth certificate right? I don't think it should be a problem. Correct me someone if I m wrong.

Haven't heard many reports of CCs to get a good idea of dates. My guess is about 6th of June??? So, I am not expecting CC for another 2 weeks now. I will try to look on the brightside and think it is more time to prepare our documents for interview. I am taking lots of proof of assets and a joint sponsor in case they won't accept my foreign income as some people have told me on here (but I haven't been checklisted for). I have contact Sydney for clarification on whether or not they consider foreign income if the job is not continuing and all they will tell me is that it will be assessed by the consular officer on the day. So, I want to make sure I am well-prepared if I need more financial info.

I hope things start to look up for you soon, it is understandable for you to be having a hard time right now. I don't know how you do it (and many others on here). This process is stressful enough without being separated from my husband, although some days he probably wishes I would just to ahead of him to America so he doesn't have to hear me complain about the paperwork. We have considered me going with the kids (they are US citizens), but I won't consider it until we have a visa in hand since we don't know how long this will take.

Thanks for the reply.

Running is great. I used to be a big runner and when I first started I couldn't even run 500 metres and then one year later I ran the London Marathon and then later that year the New York one. I am very slow, at the back of the pack but I don't care. I finish work in a few weeks and then am going to start up again.

Yeah I reckon you are looking at a couple of weeks before CC unless NVC pull their fingers out their butts!!

The visa type is based on POE, so if you wait until after your two year anniversary to enter the country then it's the IR1. It's recommended that you mention your eligibility for an IR1 to the officer processing the visa so they don't miss it.

They are going to see if you have the correct document and make you wait some more. Praying nothing is needed and you get your CC soon.

I think you have a good chance at an October interview!

If your lawyers overnighted your AOS checklist response on 07/14, it would have hit the NVC mailroom on 07/15. Add 4 business days for scanning and 30 business days for review, you looking at CC around 09/01 which should be in time for an October interview.

Your IV should be reviewed by early August.

How long is "NVC to interview" is taking these days (assuming no checklist)?

You are looking at 5 months after NOA2 at USCIS. 6 months if you are delayed paying IV fee as many people currently are.

Breakdown:

1 week to ship case from USCIS to NVC

4 weeks to assign NVC case #

1 week for AOS fees

0-6 weeks for IV fees

6 weeks for AOS/IV review

6 weeks from CC to interview

The mind boggles every time I add this up but this appears to be the current state of things.
