Thanks..... i should put "trying to call now" ...

Out of interest, how long after case complete should I hear about the interview date?

You'll likely get in on the first round which typically begins around the last couple days of the month.

Hoping you don't get screwed like I did with that!

5/23/2016: NOA1

7/29/2016: Biometrics Appointment

When your interview falls during the scheduled month is up to chance, as we've seen <_< But scheduling should begin in about 2 weeks, so you'll know before long!

Starting to fill out the I-864 form and am curious about leaving questions blank. Example...my wife has no middle name.

The form instructions clearly state If an item is not applicable or the answer is “none,” leave the space blank.

I had it ingrained in my brain to either use N/A or none, depending on the question, when filling out the I-130. I believe that i should just follow instructions on this form and leave them blank, but, I don't want to get checklisted. Tell me I'm over-complicating things and I should just leave them blank where applicable.

Thanks :)

No you do not leave blank. You simply write N/A. Leaving blank will make them believe you forgot to answer the question. They have no idea if it's not applicable.

This is really confusing. Some folks I have read where checklisted for leaving items blank on AOS. But the app says leave blank if it does not apply. I put N/A in the items that did not apply. I don't want to give wrong info.

If memory servces correctly, the AOS fee is not available at the same time as DS-261. My AOS came available the day after I completed my DS-261, but I'm not sure if that's been delayed lately, too :/

Yep, the instructions say as much. Oy vey I feel like a newb.

It happens to the best of us. Between now and your case complete your brain will turn into a big pool of mud and you'll forget how to communicate appropriately with people, specifically shouting at innocent people when they ask you for the 8,367,359,219 time when your spouse will be coming to America.

Then one day when this is over, you'll call someone on the phone and you'll be so confused when someone answers the phone after 3 rings and zero re-dials, you'll accidently hang up on them because you'll swear it was an error.

CASE COMPLETE!!!!!

Still got a checklist (wrong number of immigrants, which is strange as it was not brought up on the last one!) however they are scheduling an Interview...

I got Recce (? sounded like a woman) and was told that i would be given a months notice but she wouldn't tell me when I would hear .... Although I was only tilt that he/she was not informed that the August interview slots were closed yet so fingers crossed.!

How long do you usually have to wait to be told the interview date?

It's confusing, because even when you don't leave a question unanswered, it would seem they want you to N/A the other options, even if they're mutually exclusive. My husband checked the box stating he is a citizen, so he left the A-Number box for LPRs blank. I assume we'll get a checklist for that, plus leaving the second employer and retirement sections blank. I thought if you're working full time you're not retired and wouldn't have to point such a fact out...

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered

November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Congratulations!!!

There's no standard duration before an interview date is assigned, it depends entirely on where your CC date falls relative to the monthly interview scheduling, which happens at the end of one month and early into the next. Right now you're waiting for the round of scheduling beginning end of this month.
